Hi all - sorry for the radio silence - its been a slightly bonkers week.
Anyway - update - interview went well...and as of September I will once again be a student:D:D:D. Very excited, slighlty scared, but mainly excited:j:j:j
On a more mundane note - OH has been on a total money-saving mission today - Virgin have put up their stealth-taxes again;) so he's been having a little chat with the Sky man in town...interesting...Onward and upward - with the odd step to the side
November GC £255/£3000 -
Whooo!! Well done :T:T:T That was quick!
Best get saving now then0 -
:j:jAt last at last - I am going to have a Sky+ box - tra la la laaaa.
NO ONE is allowed to tell me off about how non-DFW it is:silenced:;). Sky are offering a much better deal than Mr Branson (who I have to admit, still have a bizarre thing for:o) and even though Virgin desperately said they could match it in a bid to keep us, the lure of Sky+ was just too strong for OH (yesssss!)
Payday coming up this week - and it ALL has to go in the savings (OH's wages are what we need to live on in order to get the money we need for college). Hmm - this is where it really gets serious and we see how it goes.
BUT this month we have MOT'd and taxed my car (v expensive cos its an old banger), and brought a new bed (old one broke - NO COMMENTS THANK YOU;)) and paid for the emergency washing machine purchase from Christmas week. So not doing too bad to be able to put my wages away.Onward and upward - with the odd step to the side

Rupe: Finally caught up with your diary! Congratulations on getting into college, very exciting. I am very envious as I feel totally brain dead at the moment. PL did theology as her degree and from what she's said it was a fasicnating subject.
Good luck with the saving plan.Debt at start of DMP 1/6/09: £2942 - £1942

Thanks all:j:j
People at work know the plan now - and I have to say, many have been gratifyingly sad that I'm going. I think I will miss people a lot - nearer the time I may get a bit wobbly again - but at the moment I am just so excited. Can't wait to leave certain things associated with my job behind!Onward and upward - with the odd step to the side

Wow Rupe, well done and good luck. What made you decide to do Theology?
I start a HR Diploma in September also but on a P/T basis (evenings). I dont know how I will be able to fit in work and study yet.
I’m back and more determined than ever!!!!!0
