Well the first day of 2010 is nearly done - and do you know what...

    Non-Spend Days - I am 1/1!!!:rotfl:

Heh heh - I am going to enjoy it while it lasts - January is always a v expensive month for us - my car's tax is due and it needs MOT-ing. Its an OLD banger - so tax is high and MOT is always nerve-wracking.

Just watched Eastenders (on demand) from tonight - TALK ABOUT an emotional rollercoaster! Funniest moment though - ANYTHING with Tamwar in - he is such a legend:D

Don't stress about the card Rupe. You'll probably have to register it first anyway, so I doubt anyone will be able to use it.

Will you be getting news of the interviews soon?

    hey macgirl

interviews...well as long as all my references are in (I know two are for definate) - then I'm hoping to hear either next week or week after about an interview. I know there are a round of interviews scheduled for the last week of January - so I'm HOPING I will be in time for then. I'd just like to know either way if I'm going to get in to this particular college (IYSWIM). If not - I need to explore some alternatives.

Hee hee - I rang the post office today to make sure there was nothing dodgy going on with our post!:rotfl:The poor girl at the other end of the phone must have thought 'who's this loon?';)

    Morning!

At some point I really need to get my 'New Year' hat on, and start getting ready for work, setting goals etc etc. Possibly not today though...:rotfl:I've been in a bit of a cocoon this holiday, with the rugrats (and OH on the odd occasion when he hasn't been working:rolleyes:) and just haven't got my head round real life starting next week. Between the snow before Christmas, and messing up my wrist so I couldn't drive (which has been on and off throughout the holidays tbh), I have got very used to putting on the heating and hibernating under a thick duvet on the sofa. The Wii has taken care of our exercise needs;). (and MSE has taken care of any need I have had to talk to anyone:rotfl:thats a little sad really isn't it?!)

OK - going to update my signature - cos that DOES show some progress...)look its beautiful! heh heh

    Hmm - awkward.

Just rang up one of my referees to 'remind' them about writing my reference. I feel REALLY bad hassling people just after New Year - but I want my interview sooner rather than later. She was REALLY apologetic that it hadn't been done as well - so I felt doubley bad.

    Kettle....

ooh Laura - thanks dude ;) must get some asap.

Its snowing AGAIN here at Rupe Towers. The rugrats decided (before going to bed) that tomorrow is clearly going to be a no school day again. Hmm - we'll see. Its certainly settled quick - just depends if it keeps on.

It was actually pretty good being back at work today. Adult company (such as it is:rotfl:) made a nice change from wall-to-wall rugrats (different ages, different stages).

Yet more money stuff - school trips in the spring/summer, yet they want the money now. WHY?? WHat sadistic school planner decides this:rolleyes:. Never mind - at least the post has began to trickle through (up til this latest batch of snow anyway) so I can stop harrassing our postman;)

 One of the rugrat's schools was open today - the one that is about 2.5 miles from my house. Why? Picked him up early because the snow was absolutely tearing down - he tells me there were 6 people in his class today - and 30 in his year. they spent the afternoon watching films!:rotfl:Mind you - I can remember days like that at school (esp Infants/Juniors) and they are good times that stick in the brain!

Guilty pleasure no1: News 24's coverage of the weather/snow:rotfl::T:rotfl::T its apocalyptic - you have to watch
Guilty pleasure no2: Bacon & eggs for breakfast - because w/o school (and working from home - thank you to my boss;)) there was time

Gulity pleasure no3: Project Runway at lunchtime - love it

Hi Rupe - just caught up with your diary! Dying to know what it is you are planning on studying? please tell! The fees are very expensive! Is it totally different from your current job? can't you get support to do a masters or something from work? although the sound of giving work up and studying full time sounds fab. I managed to get funding to do a full time masters from work a few years ago - it was great but hard work. I have always studied and now have 4 rug rats and still studying! You have done well at paying off your debt and the savings are looking healthy and on target! well done!

None of my rug rats are in school again today - they are stir crazy and it's only 9.30 - I have a 5,000 word essay to do today! help!!!!

Hope you have a good day - have subscribed to your diary!
