Hey all - am feeling a bit crud'licious this evening. So tired and not with it. OH & I are going out for a few hours (even have a babysitter) - and have been really looking forward to it - but I could happily got to bed now and stay there. This always happens when we have something planned.
Anyway - not a lot to report. Have done a bit of unbudgetted spending these last couple of weeks - some stuff for the house which was in dire need of replacing. Not too bad - but I've got to get my saving head on - and its not. In fact - not entirely sure where I put it...;)
OH is brilliant though. Totally on board with the whole thing, and says that he can work his day off every other week to earn a bit more money. He does such long hours anyway - and really unsocial - this is a major offer from him. Just sometimes he does something very fab!
Not that often :rotfl:Onward and upward - with the odd step to the side

Did take junior rugrat to a Christmas party at the local church this avo. It was a real old-style kids party - and it was lovely! Games, party tea - and a visit from father Christmas - complete with sack of names presents - which we did not have to pay for - the church funded everything. Junior rugrat had a FAB time - loved it - and it was a really nice way to spend a couple of hours - and I REALLY don't like kids parties! :rotfl:Onward and upward - with the odd step to the side

Evening all - just checking in on my own diary:rotfl:
Yesterday I bought a LOVELY wool sweater dress thing, with leggings to go underneath it. Its SOOO warm - and smart enough to wear for my staff Christmas lunch.
Unfortunately I am now unwell - and may not even make it to my staff Christmas lunch:rotfl:It can now be added to the new party dress I brought in anticipation of an event which I have now decided not to go to.
So I have spent over £100 in a month, on things I don't need! Admittedly, I love both things and will wear them over the next few years - but am a bit annoyed with myself.
BTW I still have not got to grips with Ebay - so I won't be selling them on there any time soon:DOnward and upward - with the odd step to the side

Have jsut come back from my work Christmas lunch (had too much work to do today to stay home - so deffo deserved my lunch!) and am absolutely stuffed. It was delicious though. Will have to make an unscheduled visit tot the gymn though - the plan was to be controlled eating-wise til Christmas Eve - then have what I wanted for 3 days. (damage limitation) - things haven't gone to plan!!!Onward and upward - with the odd step to the side

Hi Rupe - just checking in after some time away from MSE (just busy, no major financial foul ups.....well, you know...). Fingers crossed for your i/v. Don't know if you know, but am leaving work next week. My own personal leap into the unknown! Must be mad actually, in fact bonkers, as have decent salary, flexibility etc - but have thrown all away in favour of redundancy! However, just kept thinking, if not now, when? Soemtimes, you've gotta be bold, which is I guess where you're coming from.....

:T:TMrs R - I knew it was on the cards - good for you. I think you are absolutely right - sometimes you *know* you just have to take the plunge.
Am off work AGAIN:rolleyes: - its at the point where i am starting to feel guilty getting paid. Normally i work too many hours and get a bit cross about it - but these last couple of months, between me and the children i have needed so many sick days/carer days (although when its the kids i do go and make the hours back up).
Also am wavering a little about giving up work completely in Sept. Will explain more when my hand is working properly again - typing with just my left hand is slow and hard work;))Onward and upward - with the odd step to the side

Ow ow ow
Right - little sympathy bid done:D
Ooh its freezing and white and VERY icy here. Walked the 3 minutes up the road to a friend's house today - it took me and the male rugrats about 15 minutes. I was paranoid about slipping over onto my hand - and they were throwing snowballs at each other;)
But we have made the most of the schools being shut and me having to be off work anyway - has been a lovely day.
Feel v Christmassy though - which means Christmas pud and flapjack have been liberally consumed:rolleyes: - now I am going to see if my winter coat still fits - it is long overdue to be brought out of retirement...Onward and upward - with the odd step to the side
