Well blimey - talk about emotional spending ahoy:eek:
Had a bit of a difficult evening this evening - and on the way home I went to buy some greaseproof paper cos I'm doing CHristmas cake tomorrow (yes! the ONLY thing I can bake with any degree of success;)) - I mange to come out with Oatibix and the new Michael McIntyre DVD 'to cheer myself up' - this is all because I won't let myself comfort eat - my brain has switched to spending. :rolleyes:How ridiculous am I?
Anyway - I THINK I have finished the Christmas shopping.....da da daaaa:TOnward and upward - with the odd step to the side

Hi Rupe :hello: Just found your diary and I'm loving it! *subscribes*
Definitely go for the course. If you take the bull by the horns, you can probably save/earn more than £6k by then. Why not sign up for Hypno's £20k by next Christmas? And look at the Up Your Income boards to get creative about earning extra cash for when you become a student again?
I am going to do the £20k challenge and am trying to open my mind in the vein of the "Pay your Mortgage off in 2 years" that was on TV a few years ago.
If you can harness a bit of that attitude - anything's possible!
Look forward to seeing your progress/success0 -
thank you Macgirl! I know half the time I am rambling away to myself on here - but it helps!
If I get brave I may take the £20k challenge - but am feeling the opposite of brave today so I will think about it tomorrow;)Onward and upward - with the odd step to the side

You don't have to go for the full £20k - how about £10k?!
Go on!!! You know you want to0 -
Hmmm - still thinking about £10k...
Especially have just been to Pizza Express with OH for a birthday treat:D - actually it was lovely - a meal on our own is very rare - love the rugrats very much, but not having to referee, sort out who's eating what, make sure junior rugrat has been to the toilet etc, just for once was lovely.
Mr Lakeland has indeed delivered Christmas, so when I have the living room to myself I can open up the box:T and see if the things I thought were a great idea in the catalogue, really are:rotfl:
Also, I think the Michael McIntyre DVD and possible a glass of wine could be a great way to round off the evening. OH is already asleep, rugrats will be off to bed soon - roll on Rupe time:j:jOnward and upward - with the odd step to the side

Glad you had a good time (hope you were MSE with a 2 for 1 voucher!)
Hope you enjoyed your free time with the vino0 -
Yo yo!
Another Monday:cool:
This week WILL update my signature - and probably ought to work out just how much i have spent on Christmas presents (yes I am nearly done - just one more to buy:T) and generally be a bit more intentional about money this month. I'm tending to think that because its December tomorrow , everything spent will disappear into a hole called 'Christmas' so it doesn't really count.
Off to the gym later to see if all the birthday eating has sent me off course weight wise. Had a great few days though.:DOnward and upward - with the odd step to the side

How can it be 3rd December??
OK - so I went to look round the college that I want to study at. I like it, I am filling in my application today and will attempt to get into town at some point tomorrow(when - I don't know) and get a passport photo done (apparently I have to send one in with my application - maybe to check I'm not on a Most Wanted list:cool:) and then send it off.
Exciting - and scary - and exciting - and scary....Onward and upward - with the odd step to the side
