    Hey Mrs R - excellent bargain-spotting by the way!:T

Money seems to be haemorraging (have NO idea how to spell that!!) out of my purse this week. Petrol, lunch (cos I was too tired to even think about it one day) and general random little things.

But the BEST £1.10 I have ever spent (ok - possibly a weeny exaggeration there;)) was last night on the comfort food to end all comfort foods. A nice bag of chips from the chippy. Mmmmmmm - had been developing serious cravings for chips over the past few weeks (not due to a pregnancy - more due to not having chance to properly get over mean nasty virus). SO NICE - I am choosing to ignore what the scales at the gymn are saying at the moment. Too much going on for guilt about weight! (ALthough when the size 14s don't do up anymore, THEN there will be serious action taken!)

As you can tell, I'm not a skinny - but I'm not massive either. Thing is I have been absolutely huge in the past, so 'allowing' myself chips, for no other reason than I fancied them - its a bit of a big deal!:D

Ok ramble done - this week coming will be paying off the third and final credit card!!! Yehaaa:j

I was a brave Rupe today - and asked my friend about the money I'm owed. I must have appologised about 17 times for asking - but she was cool, and I should get the money this week. Yay!

Muchos pats on the back for me:j:T:j:T

Its so awkward isn't it. You feel like a penny pinching miser just because you want money that you are owed.

  • Well done on asking for that money back. £180 is a lot in my book. But does make you feel awkward, much like the old bill splitting dilemma which now causes me agonies, whereas never even used to think about it!

TBH you shouldn't have had to ask. If I had borrowed such a significant amount of money I would talk about it all the time- I would say things like 'I'm sorry I know I still owe you that money.. can I give you X much this month?' so that you knew I hadn't forgotten and would give it back ASAP. Still at least it's settled now, and you're getting it back soon! :j You are going great guns at the moment! :D

    Evening dudes

I have in my hot little hand a cheque for the money owed me - :j:j.
As soon as I can it will wend its merry way to the bank (around the same time I write a cheque to clear the last CC - never mind:rolleyes:).

Also - am definately applying for the course - going to a look round etc early next year - then apply (I have til July).

V excited. Work is ever more pressured and busy (although have to say today was LOVELY and I actually got time to do some RESEARCH) and if I didn't have a light at the end of the tunnel (this course) I would find it v hard to stay.

Anyway - things are looking up :j

    Hi Rupe,

Brilliant news on the cheque, now if you could just re-write it and send to......

Hope you managed to get some research done, is this research for the course?
  • sounds like you're making progress and a plan is coming together -well done!
