    :eek:How much snow?

Its been an interesting weekend - hand is now functioning normally (on painkillers heh heh) and realise I am VERY BEHIND with preperations for Christmas. Still can't grip a pen easily so card writing is not happening. Oh well...

OH has just fixed our washing machine (thank goodness) and found some very interesting things behind it (like a nice silver ring of mine from years ago). Result! He should have kept it and wrapped it up for Christmas - I would never have remembered!

OK - what was I saying about not spending much money...

Washing machine has broken - completely broken and even heroic efforts of OH cannot bring this machine back to life:rolleyes: so £250 onto the EMPTY credit card - and we'll see it on Tuesday:D

Some fab friends/relatives have rallied round to do our washing mountain for me. Now I just have to work out a way to get the trapped washing OUT of the dead machine.....

Oh no Rupe, broken washing machine just before Christmas! At least it was an empty credit card, just waiting for an emergency such as this!

I'm back - ought to go to bed, but the house is so nice and quiet with all the rugrats asleep/OH asleep etc.

I REALLY have to wrap presents tomorrow - can't get rid of a nagging feeling that I have forgotten/missed someone and that my only chance to rectify this will be when the ice melts and I'll have to rush into town.

Only have to work tomorrow afternoon (if I can get there) and then I am FINISHED til January. BRING IT ON is what I say. :D Christmas Eve is going to be lovely - got a few people coming over for cake and a drink - and then midnight carols to finish the day. All we need now is for the weather to behave itself ;)

Oooh sounds lovely! Hope you've got the pressies wrapped. I hate that sinking feeling of wrapping them on Christmas Eve, with no end in sight

its midnight - and I can hear junior rugrat singing upstairs in his older sister's bedroom. This is bad news - but I cannot face the tantrum which would occur if I attempted to drag him back into his bed.

School holidays and everything goes to pot:rotfl:

OK - made my foray into town this evening - there's something a little bit wrong about the shops being open til 8pm on a Wednesday - clearly I am not living in a thriving metropolis;) but stil!! I actually ended up in the sales, buying clothes for the rugrats. I have decided to be intentional about the sales this year - will be sharpening my elbows ready to get winter coats for NEXT winter, and hopefully any school uniform items for next September. :eek:I am freaking myself out a little actually - but its all to do with being ready for when I am a poor impoverished student again, and will be unable to just pop out and drop HUNDREDS OF POUNDS on 3 sets of school uniform at the drop of a hat.

Phew - deep breath there Rupe. ;)

    :santa2:Merry Christmas everyone!!

Yes the dress is on, work is over and its Christmas Eve - yay. People coming over today - shame I still have yet to put marzipan and icing on the Christmas cake:rotfl: and have clothes mountain to go and collect from various parts of the town (due to broken washing machine).

Tra la laaaa what do I care...?

Well I hope everyone had a good Christmas - and is enjoying a restful Boxing Day! For once we have NOTHING that we have to do:j:j:j so will be catching up with all the programmes we missed yesterday (Dr Who etc) and generally chilling (poor OH went into work today at silly o'clock).

Have to get busy on the saving now though. Christmas was the cut off point - now its gone - really need to get busy.;)

Something else which is awaiting me today....handwashing:eek: - haven't done this for a while....new washing machine SHOULD come on Tuesday (please please). I haven't the heart to ask people to help me on Boxing Day!!
