oooh - also - saw OH's shift schedule over Christmas and New Year

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::eek:  - this is an attempt to show slightly hysterical laughter. I don't think the rugrats will remembert who he is by the 5th January. It does mean there should be quite a bit of extra money to throw into the savings - expecially as January is notoriously expensive in our house as my old banger of a car needs taxing and MOT-ing.

I get LOADS of time off over Christmas and New Year - for all its faults my work treat people well holiday wise.

Ha ha - got passport photos done today - I thought - lets kill two birds with one stone as my passport will need renewing soon.

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I look like so dodgey. Its bad news. Pasty-faced, pale and very grim (cos you are not supposed to smile for your passport). I can't look at that photo for the next few years on my student card (or whatever they use it for) - if I get in of course.

Also spent too much money in town. Surprise surprise:rolleyes:

:mad:Can I have a little rant please? Oh of course I can - this is my diary;)

GRRRRR - have just spent far too long in the labyrinthine layers of Amazon, trying to buy some stuff for work. Apparently I am asking the impossible- why, because of postcodes. (Just don't ask).

    Hmm - gave up.

Usually Amazon are brilliant - and easy to use. Possibly I am over-tired and there is something blindingly obvious that I have missed. Actually the more I think about it - I bet thats the case. My brain slows down the colder it gets:rotfl:

Oooh - 10 minutes til Strictly - come on Team Cola!:T

:santa2:Feeling Christmassy now - tree is up, rooms are decorated - and this week I WILL make more Christmas cake (one for a friend - and one for cold nights with cups of tea;)). have even agreed to go carol singing in a week or so.

Unfortunately, still have a couple of weeks of work left - and have just written cheques for a LOT of bills - which add up to something eye-watering, so I'm not going to add them up;) - well not tonight anyway.

Carol singing is always guaranteed to make you feel festive. That, and copious amounts of mulled wine! ;)

Am sat at work - for once BOILING because the heating has been on all day. Feeling quite festive today...but REFUSING to start eating mince pies. Its a slippery slope....;)

Spent about £40 today - but it was a lot of fun - because it was cash that I had forgotten about:D that NEVER usually happens to me, so I had a merry little shop in town, buying gifts for the rugrat's teachers, cards for the rugrats to write, wrapping paper etc. Even bought myself a woolly hat (come on!)

In work, writing a stack of cards that we will be sending out. Glitter is getting under my skin - literally. Urgh:cool:

    Hey Rupe,

Well done on the application, I'm sure they will be falling over themselves to interview you (especially if you wear your woolly hat)!

Hey dudes - they are interviewing at the end of January (first set of interviews anyway) - and I got a letter today to tell me they are sending off for my references(!). As long as the references check out, they'll interview me.:j:eek::j

I think the woolly hat IS my secret weapon - especially as it has space invaders all over it:D
