We've got the '2 days after Christmas' grumps here at Rupe Towers. I feel fat, OH is the only person in the world who is tired:rolleyes:, the rugrats are stuffed to bursting with selection boxes - am ready for real life to begin again.

Today would have been a no spend day - but I ended up at the launderette doing some washing - BEST MONEY I HAVE EVER SPENT!! Its only round the corner from our house, and for 5 minutes toyed with idea of cancelling the washing machine and just going there in a kind of Albert Square-esque manner. Then reality reasserted itself - I use the washing machine every day - often twice. No way I'm trundling round to the launderette every day after work:rotfl:lack of vitamins due to exclusive consumption of chocolate obviously caused temporary madness.

Right, tomorrow is the day. I am FED UP of feeling bloated and fat! Back to SLimming World - I KNOW I put the money in the bank and said I would lose weight on my own but:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:is all I can say.

Will be money well spent, quite frankly. I'd forgotten feeling like this (lost 4 stone about 4 years ago).

Hope you are all having a less grumpy time than me!!

hey macgirl - I love that phrase about the fat suit:D that is me at the minute.

BUT - HAVE rejoined SW and feel positive as opposed to feeling like its a lost cause;)

Also took a couple of things back to the sales today (wrong sizes for middle rugrat) so feel very virtuous about not using the same money for yet more tops for me! (Although there is still time)

Am going out a lot this week though - meetign people for coffee or going to houses for dinner - I just need to make good choices - I will get some of this weight SHIFTED!!

    Hey Rupe,

4 stone! Wow! I'm sure you don't have much to lose now but good luck with it! Me, I need to lose at least half a stone, even more determined after I ended up with a size 16 skirt from Oasis, !!!!!!! I'm usually 12/14 but the flipping 16 fitted! I think sizing is a big problem in shops as I bought a size 14 skirt from Oasis about six months ago and it still fits and they now have S, M & L sizing which complicates matters.

Hey Swinstie - yes sizing is ridiculous in the shops now. Everywhere is different.

I could do with loping a couple of stone off actually (to be in a healthy weight) but one stone off and I look ok (and feel healthy). I'm a bulgy size 14/small size 16 at the mo - first aim is to be slim size 14 - then take it from there. I would love to be a size 12 - but I'm not prepared to make myself miserable about it - and I look gaunt if I try anything under a curvy 12.

So there you go - Rupe's weight concerns in a nutshell:D

The washing machine is here tra la laaaaa

Thank goodness for that! The EC washing mountain can now start to reduce and SCHOOL UNIFORMS (urgh) are first on the agenda (once I can get other stuff dry).

The grumpy feelings of the past few days at Rupe Towers are fading now - which is nice. Makes for a MUCH nicer house to be in. Also double bonus, because the weather is SO miserable we've gone nowhere recently (unless its been a family summons!)

    Happy New Year to all!!

I am trying to not stress - but we haven't had any mail yet this week - last thing we had was on 23rd (Ithink) - I KNOW we had snow, and I know there have been loads of bank holidays etc - but I think there is a card that we should have had by now (if it got posted of course!) - and I do get a bit paranoid about identity fraud....

Needed to write it down actually - OH is an eternal optimist, whereas I am a complete pessimist so somewhere in the middle is reality...
