Am currently wearing 4 layers and look like the Michelin Man's OH:rotfl:

Just walked past a mirror and nearly cried cos I looked so porky (and I'm on week two of Slimming World) - then I remembered the layers!

Its a bit nippy here - and the forecast is for snow tonight again - tbh I just wish it would hurry up and get on with it. Then I know what I'm dealing for the next couple of days.

A good weekend on balance - lots of decluttering, lots of healthy food (but when I say lots I mean HUGE amounts;)) and feeling a whole lot better about going to college and studying than I was on friday:j:j

It is currently snowing - not massive flakes - but steady. I ought to go to bed as its work in the mornign - but I know I will put News 24 on and see what they are forecasting.

    Its an addiction now:eek:

We've had more snow here too Rupe - it's starting to look like a ski resort! :rotfl:
I've honestly never known snow to stick around so long - almost 4 weeks now.

Glad you're more positive about the course ;)

Morning all - snow here and my morning is cancelled:beer::j:j - it was actually quite a nice morning planned, but have been running around like a nutter the past couple of days (and then every spare moment reading my latest book - book 12 of a series that I've been following for MORE THAN A DECADE:eek: - actually 15 years come to think of it) - its nice to have the morning to myself. Keep making guilty half attempts at cleaning & tidying - then wandering off to put the kettle on:rotfl:Flylady I am not:D

Went out with my niece last night to the pictures - not very MSE, but fun. We went to see daybreakers - which I LOVED although I felt shell-shocked at the end of it. Never seen the appeal of Ethan Hawke before - but he had a bit of a Han Solo thing going on - and he was HOT;). Horrible thought - I am now in the territory where almost everyone fanciable in films is younger than me - and all the people who are older, have really edged into grandad territory (Harrison Ford for example:D)

    Kettle...

  • Hey Rupe, just catching up with your diary. All seems to be going well for you, snow aside, and good luck with the i/v.

I too am about to venture into Green Metropolis, having had limited success on Amazon. Just a matter of carving out the time - despite now not working, I seem to find plenty of stuff to fill the day so really need to be proactive on the MSE front. Though have spent v little due to snow and DSs being off school for so long! But we have had the big thaw today and the temp on my car thermometer scaled the heights of 4 degrees today - positively tropical! So there's no stopping me now.

    Best wishes for 2010

    Hi Rupe;)
Been enjoying your diary and thought I'd pop out of lurk-dom to say hi....and ask what the series of books you've been reading is?:p I love to find a series of books to work through, but found one that appeals to me for a while...and definitely not a series as long as that!!

Get yourself online selling...it's addictive:rotfl: I've had an ebay frenzy this week - over 40 items listed...and sold quite a few so far. I keep looking around the house for things to list....my kids better hang on tight to their Xmas presents:D
I really need to sort out a new signature!

Hey Mrs R nice to see you and welcome Milly:j

The series is called the Wheel of Time - started by Robert Jordan - have to tell you its a fantasy series - BUT I'm not particularly a fan of fantasy books but these are BRILLIANT - because they are equally about relationships and struggles as they are about battles and whatnot. LOVE THEM LOVE THEM (yes I quite like them!).

I am ridiculously tired today - whats that about?!!

oops - spent rather a lot of money today on food for the weekend. Am going away for a night with a group of people and have to take cake. Did not have time or ingredients to make one - so went to Mr T's - 20 minutes later come out with rather a lot more than a cake:o.

Yesterday I was asleep on the sofa by 9pm:rotfl:unheard of for me - I was so shattered. Today has been a much better day though, just because I'd had enough rest. If I was sensible I would have replicated the same thing this evening ....:rotfl::rotfl:to that. I am not sensible AND its the weekend AND I don't have to go to work tomorrow:j:j

Have a great MSE & DFW weekend all
