    well today Ive had

muller light yogurt and a slice of cheese on toast for breakfast,

and a tesco cooked rack of ribs for lunch.

and now i feel sick - which hopefully will stop me pigging too much at the wedding reception that Im going to later !! ( I wouldnt normally eat that much during the day,but Im very aware that Im not likely to eat tonight (hate things like buffets - always think epople are watching me,so I tend not to eat at all)

Ive also picked up four overflowing wheelbarrows of poo from my horses field this morning, because the lasy bastids i share with didnt bother doing it yesterday (thikn theres a distinct inbalance of work there - Ive only been in the field 10 days, I share with 5 other horses, and Ive done it all 4 times now-i feel ive done my quota for a bit....) though I guess i should be greatful in many ways - its good excercise !!!

I had my usual couple of ounces of alpen with semi skimmed milk and a cup of coffee.

Lunch was a low fat yoghurt.

I think Im going to get some of that Lipobind, its cheap on amazon - its supposed to round up excess fat from any meal you eat before its absorbed into your body.

    Ill see if it works.

And good time spent passively bonding with your horse/s. :)

Unless you have that type that likes to help by tipping out the barrow. We bought a big tipping barrow for me this year, it makes the world of difference, but I have trouble on much of our roughs as they tend to use the slopes as roughs, which I simply can't get the barrow up :o

My news of the day is that I had my fortnightly medical appointment and the first thing they said was that I've chnged shape and am starting to look better, I mumbled about 3 lbs and it not relly being visable but they think otherwise, so I feel really positive. :)
  • Thanks hethmar, i'm in for the longhaul, probably the rest of my life!!
I have alway's been overweight since a kid, but at the age of 42 decided enough was enough! At nearly 24 st - how much further was i going to go before something awful happened? i have a 2year old and a 10 year old that need looking after and can't bear the thought that i might not be around by the time they leave school.
If that isn't motivation i don't know what is!! So i'm here for a long time to come!!!
I already notice that i can do little things easier than i could before so that's all to the good!
Just got to keep it going!!! xx

poshstock, do try the chocolate tip! I just ate about 20g dark chocolate and really manage another bite. I'm hopeful that it will curb my choc cravings and stop me going for the high-sugar variety which I could eat till the cows come home. I think it's great that you have undertaken such a challenge and it is obviously so rewarding for you because of the children. You are really an inspiration. :A

huston_kw, don't eat anything you don't enjoy, esp if it's fattening!! Ther's nothing worse, what a waste of calories. :o If you're going to have something fattening treat yourself to something you really love. p.s. congrats on quitting the evil weed, that's the best thing you could do healthwise and probably required even more willpower than weight loss! Well done.

hethmar, Lipobind is also on offer in Boots (save £10 if you buy 2 packs or something), they have an appetite suppresant made by the same company included in the offer. Not sure how effective it would be - I tried it a while ago and it didn't make any difference to me - but worth a go if you want to try. Let us know how you get on anyway.

lostinrates, that's great that the doc said that, bet you are really chuffed!!

trudij, enjoy the reception and you are right to look at the horsework (geddit?) as good exercise. Although you have more than done your share!!

And me? So far today I've had:
2 slices of toast with butter (baaad)
    20 grapes
    1 ham and salad roll
    20g dark chocolate

Not bad! Much better than I've been doing recently anyway. The dark choc is definitely taking away my urge for sugary stuff. Oh please let it continue!!! I've tried to keep busy so that helps too.

OK, I know I'm not that far above my goal weight, but even if I do ever reach my target (which won't be for a while at the rate I'm going :o ), I will stick around to make sure I maintain... and just cos you're all so lovely! :D

    Ah, you sweetie :)

OK, so today I saved caolories for supper and wine, which I know isn't ideal, but, I really benefit from a glass of wine after my meds (doctor aproved, :D). even with a pork chop, and buttered cabbage I'm well under the CC suggested allowance, and got a better grade for the day:o (A-) than I have before now.

When you say you got an A- grade, what are you referring to? Sorry for the daft question!
