    OK!

    FWIW I felt a bit sugar deprived earlier (I was out and had forgotten the apple I usually cart with me just in case) and driving home I felt ravenous, but it just sort of ...wore off. I had ratatuille for supper (280ish calories :), it was quite a large portion) and I'm trying to think of good things to eat over the weekend when dh is home.

    Really? That's reassuring to know. So I should just let it be, and it'll go away? OK then. :)

    I drink tons of water hethmar, but good point.

    No chocolate for me this evening, I feel quite proud!! I tackled some ironing and tidying etc. Ironically, I always crave it when I'm sitting on the computer, so better get off quick!!!! :rotfl: Night all.

    LOL! :rotfl:

    Maybe TMI, but well done anyway!!!

    I'm doing ok today, have had an apple so far with low fat Greek yog to come.

    I have also bought a large bar of v. dark choc - I don't really like the stuff, but my colleague promises me that one tiny square is so rich that I won't want any more. If it takes away my chocolate cravings I'll be thrilled!

    They say taking a chromium supplement takes away sugar craving. My son who is hypoglycaemic takes it daily to keep his sugar level more constant, otherwise he suddenly had to stuff things like a Mars Bar to put the level up. (though he does eat very wisely now, has bought himself a load of cook books for the condition and always has fruit in the flat and his car/office)

    I've lost 3 and a half pounds this week! That's just over a stone so far :j

    Think this week's loss has mainly been due to stress :rolleyes: I know it's not healthy to lose too much too quickly but I'm not doing anything crazy, it's just going!

    I bought chromium a while ago from H&B, no idea where the bottle's gone but am going to try to dig it out. Does it really work to get rid of sugar cravings? Because that is my downfall. I can happily live without crisps, takeaways, chips, cheese, salted peanuts and all the fattening stuff - it's cakes, biscuits, sweets and chocolate that I crave! :o I must give it a go.

    .

    Me too...but...one of my specialists pointed out tht drinking large amounts at one time (I love water and can easily drink a pint at a time) was possibly ''teaching'' my stomach that that amount of weight and fullness was normal, making it harder to tell full/not full. Now, I haven't resloved this, but when I'm posiby hungry or not sure, thats why I have a hot drink, just to see, its smaller and and it feels more like a meal as its warm. I'm also forced to drink it more slowly.:o

    :eek::eek::eek:

    That makes perfect sense, why did I never think of it? Of course!

    Right, off for a cuppa mint tea! And I'll drink it slowly.

    Goodness, this thread is a mine of information...
