What breed? Hope things clear up for you soon health-wise. Do you think it'll be long till you can start riding again or is it just a case of wait and see?
My friend keeps inviting me to ride her pony when I go to stay but it's only 13.2 and I don't want to crush the poor thing!Ah well, it's yet another reason to keep kicking myself to lose weight.

Hello jack92, well done on the good week and it's good that you'll be able to exercise more with the kids at school! Good luck with WI tomorrow (mine's tomorrow too, so nervous!).
lostinrates - are you saying that a low/no protein breakfast doesn't keep you satisfied for as long then? I am definitely going to stick with a daily egg and see if that helps. I must dig out my protein shake as well and have that late morning.
jackie_w, welcome!! No need to post everything you eat, only if you feel it would help xo
Dragon - good to hear about the loose trousers, mind you don't let them fall down! :rotfl: Hope all is well with you xo
huston_kw, well done on kicking the coffee habit, that'll make a huge difference to your calorie intake straight away! Enjoy the new cafetiere.p p.s. what's AF?

I'm hoping I'll be aloowed to ride a gain around Christmas time. Its not my health that stops me so much as the treatment. I'm being good and listening because its experimental treatment protocol and it matters to more people than me that it works!
If your friends pony is a strong stout native breed then it would be fine. I know of people who weigh 15-16 stone who ride highland ponies without slowing them down. I tend not to ride (when I could) for long periods of time, because while my horses don't mind I am concerned about the pressure on the realtively small weight bearing area of their backs under the saddle. If I could lie on them to soread the weight we'd be fine :rotfl:.
Tara, yes, I'm not low carbing- I really need apples/salads/veg and often have just veg for supper, but the complex carbs I'm noticing (bread/toast/cereal) are just not satisfying me. Yesterday lunch was cereal with half a yogurt instead of milk, and I was hungry again after two hours, which I wouldn't have been after a yoghurt and and apple. All in all, yesterday I was hungry! Dh took pity on e going to bed with a rumbly tummy. I don't eat huge amounts normally anyway (and was not overly hungry on a very low calorie diet of 400 cals) so I'm trying to listn to my body on this and I'm understanding I probably do need protein in some form at every eal. I've always found drinking skimmed milk improtant when watchin wieght, and this might b why.
mid January Hethmar, thats so close! think, just a little adherance and you'll be there in weeks!0 -
I think its very optimistic lost
From what I can make out, they base that on losing 2lb a week.

hi all, i was rubbish last week, had a ruby wedding party to prepare and so was rushed off my feet all week, guess that meant extra exercise but no dieting as such just tried to keep my portion control down and have managed to sts again grr!
This week i am preparing for dd's 2nd birthday so will be much the same again i expect. I know i am doing well to maintain the weight but i really can't wait for it to start coming off again. I feel like i am stuck in a rut and the weight just won't shift anymore. I suppose it could be my body is happy at this weight but as my bmi says otherwise i keep thinking i must lose more!! frustrating isn't it. hope everyone is doing well.0 -

It's Aunt Flow (periods).
Have been very good today as well on the coffee front and also reduced the amount of sugar to 1/4 tsp, I'm surprised at how quickly I got use to it, I may take the plunge soon and cut it out completly.
I had one of the best nights sleeps ever last night - I'm sure it's because I only had three cups yesterday, anyway better dash have a few things to do before I pick my little boy up from nursery.0 -
I weighed myself this morning and have lost 4lbs in the past week :j From past experience I know that I generally do quite well in the first week though, so I'm not expecting a 4lb loss for this coming week! It's given me the incentive to keep going though.
Two oldest children went back to school today, and we walked this morning (15 mins each way) which is a good start. I also did around 3/4 of an aerobics session on Fitness TV before my Tesco order arrived so I had to abandon the exercise to do the exciting job of putting my shopping away  I've booked a creche space for my youngest on Friday so at least I'm guaranteed to go the gym that day
Tara747 - good luck for your weigh-in later.
Binkyboo - I know how you feel about reaching a weight plateau but stick with it and it should start to shift again soon. Perhaps making a change to your diet or exercise might kick-start loss again?
