    Good morning everyone,

Goodness, a lot of people up late last night!!!! I was in bed at 9.45 last night, after the last few nights with DD being poorly, i thought i should try and have an early night, and although i woke up a few times, i do feel a bit more awake today, so thats good.
Have 2 little ones here today, but nothing much planned, so should be a nice day. Have to get the WM and BM on in a minute and i still need to find something out of the freezer for dinner tonight, so i think that might be my first job today!!!!
Well, better get on, ((((((HUGS))))))) to everyone
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

    Good morning everyone

I had my hair cut yesterday. It was quite long, & is now very short. It was really funny last night, cos we went out to a concert & quite a few people said that they had wondered who was the woman that my DH was with!!!!:D He is a deacon in our church - can't you just imagine the headlines! :rotfl:

And now the sun has gone in ... so do I put that washing out or not:confused:

oh me too Chipps and am loving the new style except..... I now need to do something with the colour or rather my daughter will when we find the half price colours I bought in Boots ages ago! Looking forward to a summer of just running my fingers through my hair in the morning and going :)

I also forgot to come back to you to say that my daughter used your Fruit Cobbler recipe for her school exam and it worked a treat and she got good marks for it, thanks a million.

    thanks a million.

    You're welcome!

I did my hair colour on Monday - now all those "blonde" bits have gone!!!
My DS said, "If you put some grey in, you'd look like Nanny!"
So I am glad I did do the colour first!

    Morning all,

Just a quickie today as running late, need to be out of the house in 20mins and haven't even been in the shower yet:eek:

Beautiful day here already so before my mum arrives to take me out washing will be hung outside and a duster will be flicked around. Need to call in to the local carpet warehouse as they are having a 60% off sale and I want to buy a bedroom carpet as thats our next project as it hasn't been decorated in ages and looks a bit dated.

Off to get wet now, have a great day

    Morning :D:D

A beautiful sunny day here - washing on line already (Ok, I left it out overnight :)) I have some more washing to do today - our bed needs stripping so after this, I shall shower and wash hair and turf DS2 out of our bed where he has taken up residence to watch Bear in the Big Blue House :D

There must have been something in the air last night - i was in bed before 10pm too :)

A general tidy up day today - I have to take DS2 to pre-school this afternoon and go into town for a mystery shopping job. I need to visit the wool stall cos she said she'd show me any crochet stitches I get stuck on ....erm, that would be from the beginning then :rotfl: And it's supposed to be a really easy pattern :)

Need to pop next door later cos their eldest is off school - Dad's off to work at 10 and mum isn't back till 12 so I said I'd keep an eye on him (he's nearly 14 and sleeping so shouldn't be any problems :D)

Will put BM on this morning too as I want to make a carrot cake - looks yum. Mind you - I want to lose some weight so best make a cake the others can eat - ie chocolate or ginger. However, I could just leave to walnuts out - the boys would eat it then I expect.

B Rzl - have you tried the BM yet? I recommend getting some vit c to put in it and I find the OB strong bread flour to be the best - in case you've already started producing "brick" loaves :) It won't make bread as nice as the panny or the Russell Hobbs, but it'll give you a start at least.

    B: cereals and green tea
    L: soup and toast
D: dunno yet - may look for recipes to use up this smoked salmon I have in the freezer

Right, off to wash this mop of hair - have a good day everyone :j

    Morning all

2 little ones here today - currently having fruit and drinks and some quiet time before we head into the garden. Got DD2 here today too - she fell off her bike last night and managed to nearly knock herself out - bad headache today so keeping an eye on her.

Our youngest kitty has decided to do a vanishing act, went out around 8pm last night and not been seen since - getting very worried about him now - he's normally in after breakfast and asleep behind the sofa for the day. Hoping he's just managed to get himself lock in a shed somewhere and that he'll be set free later...we've checked all the surrounding roads - no sign.

Washing's blowing merrily in the breeze and I'm just about to shove a loaf going for lunch.

    B - Cereal
    L - Wraps/Sandwiches
D - Spag and meat balls

    Have a good one all

    Morning all :hello:

Have woken feeling really bleurgh this morning, not actually feeling ill but just drained of all energy  Think it must still be the "Blackpool effect" despite last night's healthy dinner and early bed! Am hoping another early one tonight will sort me out!

PP - sorry you had a bad night :(

TM - no, the breadmaker has so far achieved about as much as I have achieved since getting back from Blackpool ;) I am intending to set it to work for the first time this Saturday, so just need to familiarise myself with the instruction manual and buy some ingredients - thanks for the recommendations. (P.S. your DS2 has great taste in TV. I love Bear in the Big Blue House even though I didn't discover it until I was 25 :o:D P.P.S. You do not need to lose weight.)

    Breakfast: bacon roll
Lunch: sausage casserole and rice (final portion of the current batch)
Dinner: wholewheat pasta with tuna, sweetcorn and mayo, probably with some greens (savoy cabbage picked up cheap last night) on the side.

Must dash for now, loads of w**k to do.

    Morning all :hello:

My little charges are doing one of their SATS papers, so I'm sitting at the front of the class waiting for one of them to break their pencil! It's so frustrating not being able to point out where they are going wrong, or praise them when they do something particularly good. That has to wait until the end when it's too late!

Grandpa's funeral yesterday was ok as far as funerals go. Loads of people turned up. The road outside the church was packed. Needless to say, in the church it was standing room only and there were 50-ish people outside! It was lucky that my mum had hired a PA system! After the burial, my mum wanted to greet everyone and thank them all for coming. It took AGES, and most people were saying to my brother and I "last time I saw you, you were......". :) The bun fight back at the house was good. I made sure that I stayed next to the wine for a while, before moving next to the food :D I had a vested interest in that because OH and I had been making sandwiches and jamming scones in the morning.

Anyway, back to today. We were given some asparagus yesterday, so I think for supper I'll be doing a salmony thing with asparagus. I also think I might try to make my first ever quiche - an asparagus one again! :D Need to find a quiche tin, a recipe for pastry and a recipe for quiche........ never having made one before. :o I've got to go to Tesco tonight for our weekly shop - the only night that I don't have anything else on at school this week.

Oooh, and I need to order some wine from Tesco. Our rack is looking pretty bare at the moment and I've got a £10 code that needs using! ;)
    Better go for now.

I posted a message and then lost it so will start again.

Have just read more of yesterday's thread and this one .

Thank you all so much for the support and encouragement- I am getting a bit weepy reading it.

Oh for a thanks button !!!

Three wash loads are on the line and I am making DH cauli cheese as a treat.

Tea will be salad, boiled eggs and sausage rolls as its quick.
Will go to hospital with DH tonight as I do not want youngest daughter (12) to see him looking so ill and frail.

    Morning folks.

My partner and I have essentially decided to try to organise a picnic for when we see the girls this weekend. He even started talking about taking a trip to the beach (skegness / hunstanton). Much nicer that sitting in a fast food restaurant. I'd do some HM bread rolls, and some HM cakes. We'd grab a few apples, oranges, crisps and drink of some sort. Sit on the beach in the sunshine and enjoy ourselves for a change.

However, after checking BBC weather it is showing a nice dark could with a rain drop. How depressing and disappointing. You know what they say about all good plans.....

Have done the funeral thing myself in the past....except I don't have to greet anyone. All I have to do is stand there and smile. Family members (who I have never seen in my life before) automatically come up to me and exclaim "don't you look like your mother".

Lily contracted Strep B Meningitis Dec 2006  Now seemingly a normal little monster.
Love to my two angels that I will never forget.
