Shez Only you know if you really want to go back to work hun. I lost my job 5 years ago when I was expecting DD and never tried to get another job (most people won't employ you when you are 6 months pregnant anyway :D ) DD started school in September and sometimes when I see other mums getting jobs I wonder if I should be doing the same thing but it really doesn't appeal to me much, I love what I am doing now, it makes me happy and to be honest I would probably have to stop being so oldstyle, we would spend a lot more money and what would be the point then?

    Morning all

Well, essay update...RUBBISH!!! Oh this one is soooooo hard, only managed 600 words, washing and cleaning half the kitchen. Lots of rude swear words...

So, thanks the reading everyone's inspirational thread, I WILL DO THIS TODAY!!! I normally can bash an essay out in a day, but this one is sooo hard. Probably will only just pass, so need to be more organised for the next one. I'm buying my first house at the moment and keep getting distracted thinking about that!!

Hi Shez, that happiness programme sounds good, when is it on? Sorry to hear about your job, but glad you are coming out of the hole :).

Hi Moggins, happy belated birthday :bdaycake:

Hi Snowyowl, glad you got some sleep last night, nothing quite like that magic green bottle is there? ;)

Hi Queenie, thanks for making me so welcome again :).

    OK, mission for today:

    1) ESSAY YOU NUTTER!!!
    2) Ironing
    3) Finish cleaning the kitchen
    4) Store cupboard challenge lunch and dinner, make lunch for work tomorrow

I think I'll stick to four for the minute :)

Have a lovely day all, I am soooo jealous of those with gardens, but v. excited as I'll have one soon!

..... am going to see a man about a job at canary wharf - am in real dilema about what to do, he wants me to have it, I would like to have it but maybe later in the year - I am really enjoying being at home for a while with kids and having some time to myself - not had a good couple of years and really feel I'm getting myself back together - will sitting back in an office close me down again?? but i turned job down once and then sorted of regretted missing an opportunity e.g. work in nice place, bit challenging and chance of travel to Dubai (family too) - now it has returned - do i look a gift horse in the mouth twice??? ..

Something to ponder on while you sort out your unsettled thoughts.

~ if you accept the job but find that it isn't the right time/hours don't suit/taken on too much ... you can resign ;)

~ if you accept the job but worry that you will get used to the money and find it just too hard to resign once started ... simply put all your wages into a savings account and *don't touch it* for say, 6 months, until you are settled and sure that all is working out on the job/home front that you hoped for.

~ if it's a full time post, is it possible to job share and turn it into a part time post?

~ in your own words: "... he wants me to have it, I would like to have it but maybe later in the year ... " Perhaps that is what you should also be asking when you see the man? How would you react if he said it were possible? Would that alleviate your dilema?

~ no matter which way you choose, always remember this: All things happen for a reason, even if it isn't always clear at the time ;)

As moggins rightly says, only you know what will be best for you. Follow your instincts on this one and try not to turn your head inside out trying to decide the logistics. Whether your instinctive reaction was :j or  that is where the real answer lies ;) All the best in making the right decision for *you*!!!! ((hugs))

    Morning Guys

I have asked for my thread to be moved over to this thread as we posted at the same time:rolleyes:

Queenie-Maybe it does have something with the copyright rules, but I used to be able to write a reply out and highlight, then copy it IYKWIM, so if I lost it-I could paste it into another box.

Lovely to see everyone have such a constructive day, even with the weather being so awful!

Will pop in later, have loads of reading to do as does DD with her SATS next week.

Good morning all. It's a lovely sunny Bank Holiday morning here in Bristol! - just to make all of you who are putting up with rain jealous!

In true MSE style, I am off to a car boot sale this morning, to look for a slow cooker. I have been tempted to get one for ages, but remember somebody saying on another thread that there are always slow cookers to be had at boot sales (wasn't the case at the one I went to yesterday...grrr).

Will catch up on some movies later on and phone friends. Have a great Bank Holiday everyone.

    good morning! :j

Woke up to it raining, but it is dry at the moment. It can't decide whether to be clear blue sky, or ominous black clouds, but I'm going to be positive and say itwon't rain again today ! :T

didn't get any OU work done yesterday. The course starts officially today so Imust try to get ahead as it's the first module of an MA and it's all a bit intense already!

The breadmaker worked, but the loaf sunk a bit, but my OH loved it with the shepherd pie I did! (and I'm a bread-a-holic so will eat anything bread related!)

Just finished washing up, must hoover and maybe mop kitchen floor. :o

Walk dog and do the washing

    B: milkshake
    L: Soup
D: Wraps with sausage and leftover chicken.

Have a good one everyone! :T
