    hello

sounds like it has been an eventful bank holiday weekend for everyone. Hugs to everyone who has had sad news and hugs to everyone with good/exciting news. Oh and hugs to everyone else too :D

Exam on saturday was alright - not as bad as expected. don't think i'll have failed - but not confident that i'll do particularly well - don't thave to think about it till the results now which is nice.

Rugby cup final on sat afternoon was amazing as my team won. Yipee!!! The clubhouse had a great atmosphere and i had a lot of fun - and a lot to drink ;)

sunday was a continuation of the party and all my ideas about being OS went out the window  but the evening ended with another dinner date (shez and Rzl - that's date no 4 now ;) )

Monday was spent recovering and at work with the kids i look after. Todays plan is to do a mountain of OS housework and cooking for next few weeks and fitting in some study at the same time. Gosh i am hopeful.

B - fruit and yoghurt, cuppa tea
L - cheese and cucumber sandwich and muffin
    D - chilli and rice

oh - treated myself to an ebay purchase this weekend too - can't wait for my new bridgewater mugs to arrive!!! A bit extravagent for a student - but its my exam treat.

sorry for the essay :( have a good day everybody :)

    Hi everyone

    It's pretty cold here today although it isn't raining . . . . . yet!

I've had to stay in today to wait for the furniture reclamation people to come and collect a table. They've been now, but I don't really want to go out (too cold) or need to (save money - as long as I keep off the Amazon site!)

Cleaned the house pretty thoroughly so I can sit back and enjoy it now without feeling guilty!!

Just going to think of something to do with some fish I've got for tonight.

Oooooh thanks Vicky! As long as you're sure it's not one of the ones that expired on 30th April  A lot of the promotional coupons seem to have had that date.

    Cheers

Well I am having a totally lzay day, I mean really I have done nothing at all!!! OH will be back from work in an hour so I really should get dressed. I have been so tired that its been hard enough not getting back in bed!

We had chips for tea last night, sat in the car on the sea front and ate them, yum yum. Even better as the whole thing cost £4.10 so it didn't make me feel too guilty either!

Its Mum and MIL's b day today, we don't know if MIL's flowers have arrived yet, I hope so consirering the price I had to pay as I ordered them yesterday! Mum will be having her pressies when she gets in from work.

I am off to the PO in a bit to post my first letter to the bank to ask for a refund on all the charges they have made over the last 5 years. This is extremly important at the moment as they will be taking £110  out on the 5th for charges that snowballed after we became £2 over drawn due to a charge being paid that we had not been informed about! I am very good with our accounts and the bank did not tell use we had a charge so we spent right up to the limit only to be pushed over the overdraft by the charge which then incurred three other charges  It is going to feel so good posting that letter off!!! If we get the money back its going straight into our mortgage ISA!!!

Anyways, have a lovely day everyone. I am so jealous that many of you are meeting up, i bet it will be so much fun!

My thoughts are with you VickyA.

Back to w**k today after a lovely long weekend. I don't have internet access (or a computer or a landline!) at home so catching up now.

Cha97michelle - I hope Fred is getting used to having his antibiotics & is feeling a bit better. Flakes (my kitty) is off to have her operation tomorrow as long as all the tests they do whe she arrives say she is OK to be put under the anaesthetic. She can't have any food or drink after 6 tonight so she'll be very displeased as she is greedy and even with poorly gums & teeth, doesn't seem to have lost her appetite! By the way, I am an ex-Rotherham girl, now living in Swindon. Hello!

PurplegirlUK1 - suggested the bit of water on biscuits & seems to work. Have also been crushing them up a little bit more.

Shez - I have never really done any exercise up to this year but I was 30 in Jan (eek) & thought I probably can't get away with eating like a pig & sitting on my bottom all day whilst not really putting any weight on for too much longer. I started gradually doing just one class a week, & Inow do 3 classes a week & really enjoy them. I have started to notice I am getting a hint of muscle definition & I definitely feel much bteer & more energised. I am also just starting to go out jogging in preparation for doing the "Race for Life" in July.

It is accounting month end today at w**K so I've had lots of reports to run & reconciliations to do this morning, but my part is mostly done now. I am just out of the accounts computer system for a while while others do their thing. Good excuse to have a look on MSE!

I had a really nice weekend, though I'm tired today. Too many late nights & definitely too much wine! It was fun though & I got to spend lots of time with Boyf & some of our very lovely friends.

Off to step class after work & Boyf is cooking pork & apple casserole while I'm out, yum. Then we'll probably veg in front of the TV & then try & catch up on some zzzzz's.

Just got back home. Took the bus to the hospital this morning and brought my dad some spare pyjamas.

They had just done the bone marrow aspiration so I had a few minutes with him- left a newspaper and bar of chocolate in case he fancies it.

Later this afternoon they are giving him 3 more pints of blood so we will see how he is when I go with DD tomorrow.

DH is not too pleased I spent 3 and a half hours travelling to get there for ten minutes and is worried that it will be too much for me. As I feel like crying he may have a point.

Would love to believe wholeheartedly that the blood transfusions and tablets will "cure" him but have a feeling I would be unrealistic. Still - fingers crossed.

Making sweet potato cakes for Dds and salmon for me and DH as I got a good deal on it last night.

VickyA - thanks for that code! The fact that it's £10 makes it worth using online, cos if it was only £5 it would only cover delivery, so I might as well have just gone down to Tescos and brought them home myself ;) I'll place an order later when I get home from tonight's concert.

elona - I hope your dad gets good news from his tests. Go easy on yourself ((hug))

AussieLass - can't believe I forgot to say so before - congrats on the house sale going through!!!!! :j :j

Right, I've conquered the European Washing-Up Mountain, boxed up the spare portions from the pasta dish I did for lunch, and will shortly potter off into London to book tickets for stuff :D

XBF has cancelled coming to a concert with me this evening because he's had an awful day, getting ripped off by the place he took his car for its MOT. So I also need to nip round to his, to pick up the tickets. (I knew there was a good reason why it's normally me who books :D)

Decided against putting the washing out on the line because I think it's going to rain
