Lots to do today DD was late for school this morning due to dp having heartburn he was dying of course:rolleyes: so didn't leave until 8.45 when dd should be at school.
Have done half the washing up and tidied half the lounge, so need to finish them off. I have a washing pile the size of snowdenn, which I have made a start on, but will take the washing machine all day to get it all done.
Also need to give the bathroom a good clean and try and empty some more boxes.
Looks like it's going to rain so will have to get the washing off the line and get the tumblie on:mad: the weather looked so promising today.

Baby ben now has nearly 6 teeth and is sitting and comando crawling can't believe hes already 8 months old. where does time go.
We have still done very little decorating, impossible to do with the kids about, and no-one to have them for a day so we can get it done. On the plus side I have dug and levelled out half the garden and managed to get some grass seed down:j so hopefully will have some grass before august.:D

Curry queen I hope you are ok and Hello

    Good morning to all

Katgodess - hope all goes well today. funerals aren't the most wonderful things but remember your nan and think nice thoughts - I read this poem at my dad's funeral back in January. It keeps me going... VickyA - hope this may give you some comfort also on your loss

Feel no guilt in laughter, she knows how much you care
Feel no sorrow in a smile that she's not here to share
You can not grieve forever, she wouldn't want you to
She'd hope that you can carry on, the way you always do
So talk about the good times, and the ways you showed you cared
The days you spent together, all the happiness you shared
    Let memories surround you.

    A word someone may say
Will suddenly recapture a time, an hour, a day
That brings her back as clearly as though she were still here
And fills you with the feelings that she is always near
For if you keep these moments, you will never be apart
And she will live forever locked safe within your heart.

Elona - I hope you have some good news today regarding your dad - will be thinking of you!

At w*** now should have a peaceful day as most of the team are at the other office.:j

    Breakfast - none
Lunch - 2 slices of ham and cheese on brown, and 2 pastrami bag of skips apple and an orange
Tea - off to mums, chicken casserole, I believe!

have a good day to anyone I haven't yet mentioned
    Lyndsey xx

    OMGOMGOMG!!!!!!

Now I have a real reason to quit!!! I've finally got my letter for me to make an appointment to see the plastic surgeon!!!!!

I've been waiting over a year for this and I know he won't operate if I am still smoking. He's the best in the country and I will finally have two boobs again, he's so good that apparently you can go topless on a beach and no one can tell you've ever been without one :D

Sorry for the exclamation marks, I'm going to go and hide in a corner and cry with happiness now.

    Morning all!

Moggins - fantastic news! That'll really spur you on and give you the strength and impetus to quit smoking - go for it! We shall expect to see photos of you in a bikini in the near future - obviously bought with all the money you will save by not smoking!

Aussielass - congrats on the house sale, it's always so stressful until they sign, so I'm very pleased for you. Love the idea of your daughter calling you and Wally to her rescue! Brought a big smile to my face!

PP - hope that you begin to feel a bit better as the day goes on.

Shez - good luck with your new job, it's always worth trying it out and seeing how things go, you never know, you may really enjoy it and the children may be quite settled about it all!

Managed to knock a kilner jar out of the cupboard and onto my foot on Saturday, not my finest moment! Thought I'd joined the broken toe club for a bit, but I think it's just bruising and a bit swollen! But still - OUCH!

dh ran his half marathon on Sunday - brilliant! He's now talking about what he can run next! He managed to raise a lot of money though, so well done him!

Had a bbq for neighbours who ran the half marathon yesterday, so still have loads of food about, so very little in the way of cooking will be needed here for a bit! Will be freezing a pile of sausages, and then will use them up in hotpot or toad in the hole later on. Also managed to cook a load of mince and turn it into bolognese sauce in the SC whilst getting salads ready yesterday, so can freeze that for later too, will use some to make a lasagne for dinner tonight, then everyone can start to use up the remaining salads with it!

House is pretty tidy at the mo, as had lots of people round had to have a good old clear out! WM and DW have run, and have run hoover around too! Need to start clearing out ds's bedroom for his new bed (someone at work was getting rid of the bed she bought for her son as it was too high for him and he didn't feel safe), it's a really nice sturdy metail framed high bed with a pull out soft bed futon thing underneath, so he won't have too much space to hide stuff under it once it's built! At the mo the frame is out in the garage and the mattresses are taking over the office, needed to climb over them to reach the curtains this morning!

Woke up very early today as dh was tossing and turning and so disturbed me! So will be taking it fairly easy for the rest of the day as working tonight! Will just be pottering in ds's room and on here probably, oh, and taking dog out for nice walk too!

    Have a good day everyone.

PS - have had to put heating back on, who has got my sunshine?!

    Morning all :hello:

Well, I'm in w*** and the children are doing a test......... a cunning ploy on my part as I don't feel up to teaching and the children are doing practise SATS tests ready for next week. It's ok because everyone seems to be doing them at the moment, so it's not just me! They had a week of grammar lessons last week, so I think they've forgotten how to answer questions ;)

That's a lovely poem, nutty, by the way. I've refused to do a reading at Grandpa's funeral because I probably won't be able to get the words out! Or it'll be an incoherent mess.

Rzl - have a lovely week off! It sounds like you're a busy bee! Can you remind me of that wine website that you use?

moggins - a definite spur to quit smoking! :j :j

Mushypeas - what a fab name! And welcome  Sorry for being so rude................

Sorry, better go as they're coming to the end of their test and I've just printed off some numeracy sheets for the next lesson so I've got to go and rescue them! ;)
