Morning MushyPeas!
Thank you for starting the daily thread...I can't speak for anyone else but I personally can't think of a single reason why you shouldn't start it. I'm a little bit squiffy at the moment (I had a glass of wine...classic cheap date!), so if you don't mind I won't chat but go on off to bed.
Well done for getting the essay finished. You'll get an excellent mark because the day of handing it in coincides with your giving blood, therefore an angel will guide the marker's pen and s/he will write "87%, fantastic!!" on your paper. (I am v.squiffy...)
Good night.

Hi SnowyOwl
Currently drinking sweet desert wine as I'm using stuff up, I love this storecupboard challenge!
Ohh, I miss London and the museums, galleries, culture, meeting celebrities....but not the traffic, commuting or costs! But then again, there is the culture of going out every night, being able to eat whenever you want, shopping for anything you want and seeing fab shows in the West End. But I do now live close to the sea and open air and I love that even more. Hope you are not kicking yourself too hard
We won't discuss ages, but my degree is part-time, as well as working. Sounds like you have a lot to choose from
. You mentioned already studying other courses, do you have a degree? What about doing a one year teaching qualification? Then you'd be able to go into another field after a year. Lots of work, but fun.
Or, if you miss it, could you go back into HR?
Now I MUST LOG OFF...too addicted
BTW, essay had to go to peer, as promised, by the end of today (hope 10pm counts!)

Tee hee, SnowyOwl made me giggle before I went to bed!! Maybe next time I should start a thread in the morning, after milk, rather than store cubpoard desert wine.

Well I can think of a good reason why you shouldn't have started the thread Mushy Peas - cos I was gonna.
Thought I'd let you all know. Got a call today from the Real Estate. Our contract has gone through. :jFinally. The settlement date is the 16th which is 2 weeks away. Yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. That has been such a monkey on my back. We really thought it would fall through again and be back to square one. It's finally sold now so we can continue with our plans. I'm so excited. Can anyone tell. :rotfl:
I forgot to tell you last week I bought myself something (belated b'day present)My own Wally Trolley.
DH & DD had never heard of them being called that so we christened him Wally. This morning DD caught the ferry into town for a job interview. I got a call as she was catching it back to ask me would I walk down to the Ferry with Wally
as she had bought a bit of fruit & veg and it was heavy. So Mum & Wally to the rescue.
Got a loaf of bread in the BM. Looks promising and smells great. Fingers crossed as this machine seems to spit out duds. I keep trying but get cheesed off with wasting the ingred. It takes 4 cups flour. Well best be off and continue with my meal planning & budget. It's DD birthday tomorrow. She's 24. When I was her age I had 3 kids. Although I did start a tad earlier than most.Talk later.
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -

Morning everyone, again!
It's a cold and wet day here in N.Ireland, perfect for going back to bed. However that is not a practical plan for the day, it's w*** as usual. Ah well, at least it's a four day week and I've already got one get up out of the way.
AussieLass - congratulations on your contract going through, that's fab news. The process in Oz seems quite different to that in the UK, though just as stressful. Congratulations on your wally trolley aquisition - if there is an Old Style Elite you must surely be a fully paid up member!!
PennyPincher, sorry to hear you had another rough night. I hope you can get some rest during the day.
Bye for now, have a fab Tuesday.

Morning all
Feelin a little weiry today after a hectic weekend knocking down sheds gardening and trips to the tip.
Need a shower to wake up.
Hope you all a good weekend0 -
Snowy Owl - I like the sound of *elite*:D Sits rather well on me don't you think.
You can always take a sicky. You look a tad pale this morning.
PP - Hope you feel better as the day wears on.
ageandjo - sounds like you had a busy weekend. I like working out in the yard. Not in the heat of course.
My bread turned out well this time. :jI've just had a slice with vegemite for afternoon tea. Yum.Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -
Morning everyone.
Feel absolutely exhausted this morning. Too much sea air over the weekend. Stayed in bed an extra 10 mins this morning - totally unheard of by me as I need to do everything at the same time in the morning or I get into a flap!
Got back from our weekend away about 5 o'clock last night. Emptied the bags that needed emptying and left everything else and collapsed on the sofa. Why are holidays always tiring?!? Had a great time. Weather was fab - came home with a suntan and spend loads of time on the beach. Ate and drank far too much but who cares.
Plans for after work include 1 or 2 loads of washing and a quick tidy up.
No idea what to have for dinner. Will have a look in the freezer and see what can be taken out.
Gotta go and get ready for work.
Take care0 -
Morning all,
Arms and neck a bit stiff as decided the bathroom & utility room needed a freshen up so have been painting over the weekend. Nearly had heart failure when I pulled the washing machine out to clean behind, the muck that collects  and of course the missing socks!!!
Looks like it could turn out to be a nice day here so washing will be hung out, outside needs sweeping, front & back, and I want to give the patio table & chairs a good cleaning as they have been stored in the cellar since the end of last summer and are a bit grimey to say the least.
Have a lovely day, take care, catch you later
