MushyPeas, I'm off to London at the end of May...I lived there for yonks and yonks (15 yonks in fact) and I miss my friends too, so can't wait to get away. I will also stock up in Lush, nearest one to me ATM is 40 miles away, and will also pop into Harrods to buy some fudge (and get a bag hee hee didn't take me long to revert to being a tourist!).

We reckon he's still at the pearly gates talking to St Peter. :D They'll be trying to usher him in, but not quite being able to get a word in edgeways!
Well it's a good thing my grandmother is (for the time being) still with us - or they'd be competing against one another! (and despite Grandma currently being minus several faculties, you can bet that the moment she passes away she'll rediscover all her old "skills" ;))

Grandma and (my late) Grandpa were married 60 years without a single argument. Their secret of a successful marriage? He was perfectly happy to be the "strong silent type" :D:D (Favourite phrase being "Yes dear" :D)

P.S. Completely understand the practical difficulty with a relative dying over a holiday period. My Grandpa died in 2001, the day after Boxing Day!

ooooh you won't have time for a quick drinkie while you're here, will you? :D

I have a really big work deadline on 31st May (the one I had to postpone jury service for), but if you're up for it I will make every possible effort to squeeze you in!

    Good morning

Well my thanks button is really back this time. :D and I do deserve it. :p
It's pretty cold here this morning, I've had to resort to bed socks and dressing gown. Well I have no w**k atm. I have put in for a few jobs last week so see how they will go. They are all casual jobs. I don't want full time as I will have to organise a lot of the house as DH is building it. I vowed we would never go owner builder again due to sulky fits & tantrums (him, not me):D but hey ho here we are again. It boils down to finance doesn't it. I'd rather go on the brink of divorce than get into debt. :rotfl:

How rude is that - fancy not getting an invite to your coffee afternoon PP & Bargain Rtz. :p I could have started up my helicopter and left this morning. 1027.gif:D Hope your hair cut is nice. Send us a piccy. ;)
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

Well if you're starting up that helicopter you could wait a couple of days and join some of us in Blackpool :D

And then you wouldn't need a pic of my haircut ;)

You know Moggins, that's probably the most bearable way I've found of shopping at Lush!

i know it should be gorgeous, but I find the scents so overpowering that I very rarely go anywhere near (frequently passed York branch while at uni, and now often happen upon Regent Street and Covent Garden branches). Honestly, I feel like I can't breathe when I'm within 10 yards of a Lush shop doorway :o
