    Hi Everyone

(((((((((((((((Moggins)))))))))))))))) I'm not surprised you are smoking again with everything else you have going on. I hope things improve for you soon.

PP, the schools sounds as if they are being a bit unfair, I'd call them and ask them to reconsider.

It is wet and miserable here so I'm not going to be able to enjoy my last "official" work-free day in the way I had wanted, which was hunting for ducklings and the first fresh English peas of the year, anyone seen any yet? I do envy people who live in Worcestershire, Pea pod capital of the world... bliss. icon7.gif

I'm determined to celebrate the day in some way though and feel I've achieved something, so plan 2 is to have a stardrops and microfibre danceathon. Get the flat clean and do a work out at the same time. Hmmm, Abba or do you think? or is that over doing it a bit :D

Not sure how I'm going to get on working so many extra hours as my energy levels are really low just now. I will end up working almost double the hours I already do. Ah well, we shall see.

Had some sugar free oat, fruit and almond cookies for breakfast with coffee, lunch will be late, probably wholemeal pasta. Dinner will be party food and lots of wine :D:D Tommorrow will be ......
My first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead :D

    Hi

Thanks for the replies! The reason given is because the attendance rate has been under 95%. They were all authorised and most of the days/halfdays were when I needed to go up London for the hospital appointments or when I was in hospital and we she didnt want to go with anyone else.

I put on the form that it was for a disabled holiday and they have noted the particular circumstances but have still refused it:confused:

DD has worked very hard considering this and passed her 11+ with flying colours and has just done her SATS-all subjects predicted at level 5.

I'll call school up later, or may just call the council education dpt and explain the situation. She has about 8 weeks left at school thats all:mad:

    Cheers again

    PP

Hi PP. I've just dug out a blank holiday form from my sons school. It mentions that schools have a discretionary power for leave to be granted for the purposeof an annual holiday during during term time and goes on to say only in exceptional circumstances may the amount of leave granted exceed 2 weeks. I'd say your best bet is to speak to school and state your ill-health has led to these "exceptional circumstances". If the school still refuses to authorise, you could still take her out but you may face a fine. Here the fine is £50 and goes up if you don't pay straight away.
I'm guessing that the time off she has had already amounts to more than 10 days or that the days already had plus the week you would like will amount to more than 10 days.
You may need to take this into account for next year at her new school depending on what arrangements you have made.

:A feeling very virtuous, cos I was up so early I decided to go to the gym. Had a great workout in an almost empty gym & am now home again ready to go into Manchester for my one & only site visit of the day. The good news is OH has just rung to say he's finished for the day (he's been in court today for work & it finished earlier than predicted) so he's coming into Manchester with me, as we have a Wagamama 2-for-1 voucher which runs out on Sunday. We also need some holiday reading, so will look for some 3 for 2s in Waterstones etc
Racy - enjoy your dance/clean-a-thon. It's got to be Abba
Rzl - enjoy your Glyndebourne picnic, sounds yummy
r.mac - enjoy fife (hope the hangover's gone by then!)
PoshPaws - Give me dogs over kids anyday

    Morning all

Wet and blustery here today AGAIN!

DD2 decided that she wanted a chocolate ice cream cake rather than the chocolate sponge I'd planned....had to rush into town this morning and get the bits I needed....it's basically, line a big deep bowl with cling film...then slices of chocolate swiss roll so that they all squish together (no gaps)....then pour in chocolate ice cream (it needs to be fairly runny to get it in without squishing the cake to bits), top with more cake (which will form the base), wrap the cling film over to seal it all up and place in the freezer with a heavyish plate on to squish it all it....take a good 24 hours to freeze enough to turn out in one piece.

So that's in the freezer - pressies are wrapped, card made, all organised.....apart from the food which I'll get tonight.

DH finishes at 5pm tonight and is then on holiday for 2 weeks :j - Got some nice days out planned (thanks to MR T's deals vouchers) Got to take DD2 to G.O.S.H on Thursday to see her consultant, a couple of days work for me too and then we'll be off for a week away...can't wait.

    B - Toasted HM rolls
L - Cheese and pickle rolls all round
D - Not got that far - will probably make a pizza.

Hope you all have a wonderful day.

Forgot to add earlier that I won a Reebok step video last night on ebay £3.20 with P&P so I will endevour to do that this weekend at some point.

I also found another old step video and a Yogalates video gathering dust in the cupboard so I will give that a try too!

Need to lose at least a stone before my hols (end of August) being very good so far - 6 ibs in 3 weeks, just from cutting out chocolate and crisps.

Anyone have any ideas of low fat snacks - (please not carrot sticks though - they should be banned - devils spawn ewwww)

    Afternoon folks :hello:

DS2 is at pre-school and I'm sitting here with a huge bowl of HM ham and veg soupand waiting for Martin to appear on Radio 2. Have to say, the soup would have been better if Mr TM had NOT decided to be helpful and throw away the ham stock I'd saved for the purpose  However, it's still yummy and healthy too :A

This morning I've been out with me wally trolley and ventured as far as the market. I've bought nearly 20lb weight in meat, plus chicken, fruit and veg and some Tesco stuff, so I couldn't have carted that back in carrier bags! The downside of emptying out a freezer is that it costs so much to refill it :D However, I have treated myself to a lovely piece of fillet steak for tomorrow - Mr TM is away so after I have the boys to bed, I shall be sitting down to a lovely meal and a glass of wine. I don't think I've ever bought myself fillet before.

Did 6 loads of washing yesterday and WM is on again :( You should see my ironing pile! Also need to clear up and pack some stuff for DS1 who may be going camping with Mr TM this weekend (if it dries up somewhat) Also need to pack the coolbox with the food too. Then I need to bag up about 6 L of various HM soup, the pork chops, label the rest of the meat and freeze all that.

Maybe I'll just have another :coffee: :p

Have a good day everyone :D

    Afternoon Guys

Shez-What do you think of the cake? Its lovely isnt it!! It will keep for a few days or you can freeze, I have another fat free recipe that mum gave me and will post it in the next few days...remind me or I'll forget...:rotfl: ;)

OH still farting around with the laptop and adding this and that:confused: ...all I want is my Quicken for the money files:D

Just about to put some tv on and maybe watch a film. Not upto studying today so might leave it till over the weekend.

Drafted another letter for my sister to a debt collector she was having problems with, and they accepted a 75% reduction on a full and final payment, but needed some proof of sons disablement. She is coming to pick up the letter later and post it and have offered to put the £200 on my 0% cc for her.

OH is takig DD to the post office and bank after school...which she will love....NOT, but he is going to ask about a bank account for her with a debit card they do for 11-16 year olds and a good interest rate too.

Anyway, got to go and find her passport.

    Hugs
