morning all!
I'm all showered & am here with my coffee.
Kids are eatin breakfast (dd cereal, ds toast)
My sister & me are treating ourselves to breakfast out today. Its our monthly treat! My turn to buy today.
I also need to go to the opticians & exchange my contact lens solution as the one I have has apparently got a 'minor' danger or something. Have been using it this week though, I live on the edge me
Lunch for dd with be the usual packed lunch. DS will prob have a bread roll with choc spreadI will have a roll with cheese
Dinner is a packet of flavoured pasta with a quorn thing for me & fish for the kids with peas & carrots.
DH is still away, hes back tonight though.
Oh, when I went into the kitchen this morning there was a large pool of water in the middle of the floor. I have NO IDEA where it has come from. It was dry under the sink. The freezer was shut tight.....So have dried it up...Oh & the ceiling was dry, nothing leaked thru. The door & windows tightly shut as well (& double glazed) so no water could get thru.
Oh well, need to dry my hair, get the kids dressed & bung them into school & nursery!
Laters all!!!!

Good morning everyone
Not sure about the weather here, it isn't raining :j but it is very grey and doen't exactly look promising. The WM is on, so if it isn't raining when that's done, out goes the washing anyway.
D/w emptied, & things put away. In fact I have been quite good this week, & the house just needs a quick dust & vaccuum round & not much else.
DS has piano this morning, so a nice drive through the countryside again!
Dorry - hope the exam goes well, & SnowyOwl - isn't it a nice feeling once they're over!
Hi to everyone else as well.
Have a good day!0 -
Morning all
Firstly big hugs to JackieO ((((hugs)))) I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. Like many on here I have also lost loved ones to cancer, far too many. xx
Just a quick post as off to Uni. in a moment.
Yesterday I had to pop additional information to the solicitors and we still haven't exchanged!!! I should be worried that I haven't even considered packing yet, but the vendor wants a month between exchange and completion so it gives me plenty of time to worry about it.
Went to Uni. last night for degree course, received feedback about my motivation essay (remember that one  ) 64% not bad as it was rubbish. Today I have my Maths Uni course and then photography in the evening. Tomorrow, my Information, Advice and Guidance course. How did I used to manage all these when I was working?
Last night was up till 2am, very sleepy. Came across a DVD with my ex on it and spent an hour cryingNearly three weeks now, I wonder when it will get easier?
Sorry, bum ending to message (which is as short as ever....;) ) Er positive things to say about today...er...it isn't raining - yet!
Have a good day everyone and take care.

Hello everyone,
Its v. sunny here in SE Scotland - uh-oh sun went in as I typed that!
I've got a surprise day off today (ooh sun is out again and so warm!) as I had booked a day's annual leave to go to a job interview, but have decided not to go. Its a long story (read my update thread on DFW) but am sure its the right decision. So I don't have to do ANY commuting today and have decided to give myself a fun, nice day and not worry too much about chores etc - not very O/S but feel really worn out just now, so think I need a *me* day.
Might make some houmus (sp?) later but that'll be about it! However (must share this news with you) - OH is a nursery teacher and they have a really cool breadmaker and he's going to bring it home for me to use all summer - yay!
Sorry if I missed the news in yesterday's thread - but HUGS to anyone who needs them.

:hello: Morning!
So sorry to hear your sad news JackieO (((HUGS)))
Very dark and overcast here in the southeast! Think I will stay home and make some soup! Also got to get suitcase out of loft and start to think about packing. Only allowed 15kg this time so all has to be lightweight. Will I need a cardi in Fuerteventura? Guess I could wear that on the plane.
Good luck Dory with your exam! Snowy owl try to relax now your exams are over and hopefully your sleep will improve too. Fingers crossed. Have a lovely time in London! We sometimes drop our dd back in London on Sundays after she has been home for a weekend so maybe I can convince oh to detour to a certain bar in Holborn! Are you all wearing safety pin badges for recognition?
Lovely to hear from Math again!

Morning folks
Sun is shining and sky is blue - for a change
I too had some bad news last night. A close friend who thought she had got over the dreaded "C" has got it back - only it's in her bones and TBH - it's not looking too good. She's only 33. She and her dh have decided to live life to the full while they can. They are holidaying wherever and whenever they can and basically doing what they want. Luckily they have no kids so they can live for today IYKWIM.
Anyway, I have nothing planned for today apart from a phone mystery shopping job at some point later this morning. I am asure I will spend some time with DS2, playing with the gerbils - we made a playground for them yesterday out of a big cardboard box and lots of little boxes and tubes. It will last for a while as they haven't started to dig/chew the big box yet
Want to get some washing done while I can get it on the line - it's been building up with the bad weather cos I only use the TD when I have to now. Will have to have a real routle through the freezer for inspiration for tea. I think I've used up nearly all the meat - I think I have enough chicken left to do something decent with. That reminds me - I'd better defrost and clean my freezers out today then - so I can do a big hit on the butchers tomorrow. Hmmm - the grocery challenge (unofficial of course) had been looking so good so far this month!)
Ok - ((hugs)) to all in need and hope you all have as good a day as possible.
Luv

Morning all
Hugs to all who need them today.
Only the one little one this morning - 2 more arriving after school. It's grey, damp and overcast again today - I just want to spend some time in the garden! grrrrr.
Got the paperwork through for our holiday, week after next, just a week at a local holiday park (booked before xmas for £60 for the "gold" appartments for 4 of us). Can't wait!
DD2's birthday on Sunday - she's have a couple of friends sleep over at the weekend - we'll do the popcorn, dvd and hairbraiding/nail painting stuff that they still enjoy at 8....quite looking forward to it.
B - Toasted HM rolls
L - Everyone's got left over somethign today - quiche, chicken pie, filled jackets.
D - Something with mince.......if I remember to get it out the freezer.
Going to drag out my craft stuff when little one has a nap and get a few cards made up for birthdays in the next few weeks - still looking for inspiration for fathers day cards.....
Hope you all have a great day."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -

Morning
(((hugs))) to JackieO. I bet she was proud to have you as her friend.
What a day yesterday was.........OH got his new job, which dragged on for so long he was certain that it was going to someone else. We have been hanging on buying a new car to see if he got the job, so all that finally got sorted. In true MSE style he got it for £1800 less than they originally wantedHe didn't even have to haggle much! Now I need to sort out the insurance etc. We're not picking it up til next Thursday (1st June) otherwise we'd have to pay a whole month's tax for a week of May.
Better get on with some work I suppose
Breakfast - :coffee:
Lunch - who knows! lucky dip
Dinner - chicken fajitas0 -
Morning all :hello:Though the skies are still grey and threatening, it's not actually raining ATM.Had a lovely relaxing evening last night - didn't get much done, but hey, it was only my second evening at home since last Wednesday
I cooked a rhubarb crumble as somebody at church had given me some rhubarb from his allotment - and then ate so much of it that it was the only thing I needed to eat all evening
(except for the remaining chunk of fabulous mouldy cheese I got from the farmer's market on Sunday, which I'd eaten as a snack when I got home from work). Also was quite proud of myself for opening a bottle of wine and only drinking half of it :DBreakfast was a bacon roll, lunch will be reheated spag bol. This evening I have a singing lesson and will not get home until around 10, so will have an easy supper of chunky vegetable soup picked up yesterday at the Co-op reduced to 43p :DMore ((((hugs)))) to JackieOCatznine and RacyRed - it would be great if you could join us on Sunday evening! However, could we please talk about it on the thread I've started for the purpose, cos not everybody on OS reads the daily thread and I wouldn't want anybody to be accidentally left out who might want to come.TM - I'm so sorry your friend's cancer has returned, and at such a young age. A good friend of mine lost his best friend 5 years ago in his thirties - my friend thought it was incredibly unfair as he (my friend) was the one who smoked, drank and didn't do enough exercise, while his friend who died had a healthy, clean-living lifestyle. It really can happen to anybody.Lucie - well done to your OH on his bargain car! Would you have bought it even if it had been at the asking price? Because in that case, that's a true saving!See you laterRzl xx
