Manicdays....Do they have school uniform sales at the school?
When mine went (boy and girl) we used to go to the uniform sale and the items were usually in very good condition and very much cheaper than new.
Their school had logo'd sweat shirts too. The school office will know if and when they are or they might have a used uniform board pinned up somewhere.

No, they don't have a 'nearly new' sale or anything. What they do do is at the end of year they sell all the lost property after they have left it in the hall for 3 days for peeps to look & claim anything back.

(((JackieO))) Sorry to hear about your friend.

It is a terrible disease. I lost my dad and FIL to it, and my mum & grandma are both survivors, as is a good friend. Another friend of ours was taken in to hospital today, in the later stages. Roll on the day when a cure is found.

    Morning everyone

It's a beautiful morning here in N.I. Means nothing of course - it could well be chucking it down by the bucketful in half an hour!

I thought I'd have slept undisturbed last night after the exams being over, but no, eyes snapped open at 5.00 am.

Dorry, good luck with your exam today.

Big hugs to everyone who needs them, especially JackieO.

Morning SnowyOwl, congrats on the exams being over, that must feel so good!
    Morning everyone :hello:

(((((((((JackieO)))))))))) I was so sorry to read your news.

Looks like another grey skies day here in the SE again, Those "catch you out downpours" have been catching me out too well this week!

Full day at work today, and am going to be working a lot of extra days over the next couple of months so I'm really looking forward to my last "proper" weekend for a while this weekend. icon9.gif

Bargain Rzl, saw your post about Sunday, it sounds really great and I'd love to be there if I can be. Thanks for thinking of me :A

Been making batches of sugar free fruit muffins and am having the last of the Mango and Orange ones for brekkie with a coffee.

Lunch is Hummous, a selection of vegetables and Pitta bread. Supper might have to be on the run, so I better go pull something suitable out of the freezer.

I experimented making Delia Smith's basic biscuit recipe using a sugar substitute and also substituting Barley Malt Syrup instead of Golden Syrup. They were really tasty so I shall be trying that again.

Oh well, time to go face the world. Have a lovely day icon7.gif
My first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead :D

Morning all. Just time for a quick hello whilst blueberry muffins are baking. Don't know if that's an OS brekkie, but it's a delish one. DH has just gone to work, kids are still in bed till 7.30 so just enjoying a few moments of peace. Off to work after taking the kids to school and then tonight we're going out. Yes just me and DH going out together at the same time and with each other, no kiddies. Going to see Rik Mayall in The New Statesman at the local theatre. Can't wait. Have to fly, muffins are done, have a good day. soba

    Morning everyone

SnowyOwl - You need to get that weather sorted. I am coming over in 7 weeks for my hols and my sunglasses better get out the case!

RacyRed - Mango and orange muffins mmmmm sound lovely

    Day off today :j :j :j :j

There was a horrible atmosphere at work yesterday. All supervisors and managers were taken into separate meetings for some "big news". Turns out there is too many chiefs and not enough indians so there may be managerial jobs being lost. Makes me glad I am just a pleb ;)

Had a sore back for the last few days and seems to be worse today so don't know how much of my to-do list will be done. Struggled to get the washing in the machine as I can't seem to bend very much.

Other items on the agenda include:
    - Weekly shopping
    - Go to post office to return a parcel
    - Library to pick up some books I ordered
    - More washing
    - Tidy, hoover and dust living room/bedrooms
    - Clean and tidy bedroom and kitchen

Have a great day folks :D

    Morning Guys

Slept OK last night, but still up and down abit:rolleyes:

WM is on but weather not looking too good, so will probably be hung on airer. DW needs emptying and toilet is cleaned.

DD has her school photos today and decided last night to have her hair curly:confused: she normally likes her hair dead straight-hopefully she will like it. Her packed lunch is all done, just need some water.

The new desk and other bits are coming from the OU today and I have some training to do this afternoon:eek: should be a laugh and will make doing my degree much easier.

OH is doing the inside windows today and some more of his course.

Did very well with Ebay last week and packed some items that have been paid for up to be sent today.

Anyway, Im going as Im starving!!

    Breakie:Banana bread
    Lunch:Cod, mash and veg (leftovers)
    Dinner:Spagbol & garlic bread

    Hugs
    PP
    xx

    Good morning everyone,

Really didnt want to get up this morning, i think this horrible weather is playing a part in that, still grey and showery here!!!
Should have 2 little ones here today, havnt heard from the one who was poorly yesterday, so im assuming she will be here in a minute. My DD was sick when she got home yesterday (there is a lot of it about at the moment) and went to bed early, but has been fine, although when i tried to get her out of bed she mummbled something about not going to school, so will have to chivey her along and see how she really is before i decide if she can stay home or not!!!
WM is already on, and i need to put the DW on once breakfast is over with and i really do need to make that curry sauce, that ive been aiming to make all week!!!!!
Little one who was ill yesterday has just arrived, still eating her toast, so better go might pop back later!!!

((((HUGS)))) Jackie O, sorry to hear of your loss x
Dorry - good luck with your exam later.

Hope everyone has a good day,
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
