Thanks, I will now. No more walking around in the dark for me. It makes me really angry that I have to resort to taxis though. Why are there so many nutters around?0

My labour wasn't that bad and I didn't have an epidural with either.
First one - I had been in a "light" labour most of the night but only went to hospital for about 12.30pm and 3cm dilated - my DS was born around 7pm. I did have to have a sugar and water drip part way thro and at that point I had diamorphine. Most of the time I managed on tens machine and gas and air. I stayed in two night and went home second day.
With the second one - I think I was in hospital for about 4 hours of so before she was born and 7 hours after. I was 4 cm dilated - when I arrived. I couldn't wait to escape. I used tens machine, gas and air and meptid.
I couldn't face an epidural - too big a needle!
Been put forward for a couple of jobs today fingers crossed! They are a trek to get to thoAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

I know, it makes me angry too. Your safety is far more important than a bit of money though.
I had a friend who used to walk everywhere late at night cos she wouldn't pay for a cab. It used to really freak me out. I would prefer to cut back on magazines etc and feel safe than run the risk.....

Hi Snow White - better safe than sorry! Glad the car missed you!
I am having a go at writing a novel. I'm up to a whole 1600 words. I have started part way thro the book as I figure the first chapter is always hard to write. I am using a piece of software called new novellist to give me a bit of structure. I will let you now how I get on.... I have just read Stephen King's book on writing - paid for by bingoport amazon vouchers - so hopefully that will give me a nudge in the right direction. I have paid for correspondence courses in the past but found the assignments too hard... Will have to see what happens this time... I also got a couple of books from the library.
I'd like to do open university;s course but it would be around £650 which I can't afford right now...Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Good for you! I would like to write a book and have an idea but it is getting the motivation to try and write it. I also fear I may be a a bit of a one trick pony as I just have one idea.
HOw many words does an average novel contain then?Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

The one I want to try and write has a guide word count of 60-70000. So I'm potentially about 2/70 of the way there or 1/35! that is if what I've written is any good at all!
I am trying to make myself do a bit more dooyoo too -it is afterall writing practice and it makes you really look at things so you can describe them!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Hi Snow White - my that sounds scary about the car I'd be shook up to but as you say at least your Guardian Angel was watching out for you. Many's the time when I was in my late teens/early twenties that I had to walk home from a night out after falling out with my friend, some times I would ring my dad to pick me up when I lived at home. It's a shame that the world has come to this.

HI SH
Good luck with the Novel, I always loved writing stories as a child and wanted to be an author. I loved reading books too and was always in the library, my mum used to say that I should move my bed in there I was there so often. I always wanted a dog but wasn't allowed so I used to get the same book out all the time about tortoises - never had one of those either.
How did you find Meptid, I hated feeling so drowsy, I was so out of it when DD3 was born that I was in a fog until a voice in the distance said 'it's a girl' and that jolted me out of it as I really thought she would be a boy. Glad she's not though as I'm enjoying dressing her up in tights and skirts which I never did with the other two.

Hiya all!
Been so busy with things that forgotten it's PAYDAY!!! This is the first month I'm paying £400 towards my debts and the budget is very tight. I was 32p out, but phone bill will be 38p less than budgeted for so back in black by 6p! Next month should be easier as phone bill should go down by £15.
I have to say, I always walk home even at late at night. But it's mainly well lit main streets and it's only 15 mins.DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0 -
Hi Tirlitten
How nice that it is Payday. I was expecting some Paypal money to go into my account today but it didn't hopefully will go in tomorrow.
I don't go out very often, only every few months I meet up with an old friend who I used to work with but I drive, I don't drink anyway so would drive wherever I went, I wouldn't be keen to walk anywhere these days.
I am so sad today about Patrick Swayze, he was a big part of my life growing up, my friend and I used to watch the mini series North and South all the time and laugh at all the funny bits that we noticed, then there was Dirty Dancing when I was 18 my friends and I went to see it at the Cinema. I really feel for his wife, so sad they couldn't have children, it must be so hard to see someone go through that.
