hi TMD my iron/blood count was 6 too. when i told the doctor that the midwife said i could have iron tablets and go home so was gobsmacked. she said they transfuse automatically at 10 and i was 4 points lower. she said it was too dangerous for me to go home. my argument was if i was at home and said to DH i was popping to the loo if i wasn't back in 5 mins he would come looking for me. however if i was in hospital i could be lying there for ages before anyone noticed i was gone due to the work load of the nurses. the doctor did not appreciate that!

  • Hi Starnac - I felt so much better after the transfusion and my blood count was 10 after (think I had 2 pints). Funny as after DD3 when I lost 2 litres (lost 1 litre when I had the transfusion), I didn't need a transfusion as my blood count was OK as I had been on iron tablets for a while.

the trick is not to think about labour just yet and when you are in labour remember each pain is a step closer to seeing your baby

That is really good advice. Thanks Starnac!

I feel nauseous again today. I thought it had completly gone :(

I want to go to a football match with my bf. It's away game for his team were we live. Tickets are £26 and of course I could use the money more wisely...But would really like to go...What you think?

Won't go to the beach today. Will sort out my room and list more on ebay. And then chill out.

Any chance your BF might pay for your ticket, as they are his team?

If not, I would say go anyway. It sounds like it will be fun :)

He paid for me last time, but I don't think he's feeling too flush atm either. Need to decide by Thursday. I could do that instead buying a new top. I do still have that extra money waiting for a destination...

It depends on which you would prefer - a top or the match?
