My you have all been busy (on here) today!!!! (probably not so much in the 'real world' - lol)
I STILL haven't got my last day of work date sorted out, tres annoying, if they want to say no to me shortening my notice period why can't they just say it - grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr and now it is impacting on whether or not I can go away with friends and means I haven't yet been able to sign a contract for my new job. and I got soaked in the rain.

How nice that it is Payday. I was expecting some Paypal money to go into my account today but it didn't hopefully will go in tomorrow.
I don't go out very often, only every few months I meet up with an old friend who I used to work with but I drive, I don't drink anyway so would drive wherever I went, I wouldn't be keen to walk anywhere these days.
I am so sad today about Patrick Swayze, he was a big part of my life growing up, my friend and I used to watch the mini series North and South all the time and laugh at all the funny bits that we noticed, then there was Dirty Dancing when I was 18 my friends and I went to see it at the Cinema. I really feel for his wife, so sad they couldn't have children, it must be so hard to see someone go through that.

I am very sad about Patrick Swayze as well. My sisters fiance's Dad died from pancreatic cancer 2 years ago. He died 3 weeks after the diagnosis. I think we were all rooting for Patrick to get through the cancer. I also find it sad that they couldn't have childrenTotal (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Meptid - was fine but my DD came very quickly after that which apparently can be a side effect - it was one I could live with LOL! I loved meptid - I was particularly grateful when I had the stitches EEK EEK. I would avoid pethidine like a plague as it didn't work for my mum or my brother when they had it.

Yeah, it's really sad. He (Patrick) put up such a brave fight as well. I hope he is at peace now.Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Hi SH - I didn't like not being in control and knowing what was going on as I was spaced out, at least when I had an epidural I knew what was going on. It didn't bother me having to have stitches, I was just glad it was all over and relaxed and let OH deal with the baby(s). Just so glad that I'm not doing it again.

Such a shame that people have to suffer with cancer, it is my biggest fear to die that way - a long, slow, painful death and the thought of having to leave my kids would kill me, I don't know how Jade Goody coped knowing that she would have to leave her children at such a young age when they need their mum. She was right when she said the only person good enough to look after her kids was her.
Hasn't helped today that the weather has been awful, got soaked picking the kids up from school and that was just from the school to the car, then some stupid person had parked right up my **** so I couldn't lift the boot up to get the pushchair in, so I had to leave it in the rain and move the car forward slightly (was parked in front of a lamp post).
Hopefully tomorrow will be brighter and full of good news and not bad.

a friend of mine said pethidine was like being drunk. that whole out of control feeling. i loved the epidural. you don't even see the needle. i also lost a lot of blood and had to have a transfusion. really didn't want one though and kicked up a fuss on the ward. one midwife had told me that they would give me iron tablets and i could go home the next day. then the doctor came and said no way you could pass out any minute. so i had to stay another night and have a transfusion. on the 3rd day i sat there in my coat with my bag packed for hours waiting to be discharged. they eventually gave in when they saw i was not going to take my coat back off!! how they loved me.
my OH had lovely bonding time while i was being stitched.
the trick is not to think about labour just yet and when you are in labour remember each pain is a step closer to seeing your babyGoals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -
Hi Starnac - funny as I refused a transfusion after DD1, my blood count was 6 but I really didn't like the idea of one so I was in for a few days as my daughter had jaundice and they kept checking her and sticking needles in her heels, when I got discharged when I tried to walk up the one flight of stairs to our flat I could only go up 2 steps and had to sit down. On the second or third day when the midwife came round my bp was high so I got readmitted and had to have the transfusion in the end.
One funny thing one of the nurses was called Leilani which is Hawaiian and that was the middle name we choose for our daughter before she was even born so thought that was very strange.

hey tirl - payday you lucky thing. mine's not til the last day of the month. well done on your budget although that is pretty tight.
Seren is quite a common name in wales now so you probably have seen it everywhere. my MIL loves telling people that she has a GD called Seren "it means Star you know" to all her english friends at the church coffee morning!
Snow white - i'm glad you have a guardian angel. that sounds awful both the car and the dodgy people. i used to walk everywhere when i was younger but now i'm a bit more wary.
it's such a shame about partick swayze. i loved him in dirty dancing. and keith floyd. how he cooked when he was that drunk i'll never know.
PAID and TMD - sorry you got soaked in the rain. i hate it when people park so close you can't get in the boot. don't they have any consideration for prams and wheelchairs?? grrrGoals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000
