thanks for all your advice. it was nothing i didn't know already but it makes more sense when someone else says it i think.
i know i need to be honest but like saving says i think i may be a bit too proud to want to admit it. stupid aren't i??
No, your not being stupid at all. I am a bit like that too. I have recently had to turn down a college reunion. 2 years ago I would have gone and put it on the credit card but when I looked at it, it was so unreasonable. All the others live at home so it would be easier for them to get there. I would have to fly back at peak times because I don't have annual leave and the reunion isn't even near any airports. The rest of them just hop in their cars and travel an hour and a half max. So I just said no. Yeah, it will be a good night out but for me it would have cost at least £500 to get there. stay there and eat out. I would rather put it towards a buggy for the baby!Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

i would offer you ours but DH is insisting on keeping all our baby stuff "for the next one". i just hope the next one (if there is a next one) is a girl or he's kept it all for no reason!Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000

she'll be 2 in october.
i'm not convinced on a next one. i hated being pregnant. if you could hand me the baby i would be fine but the thought of having to go through pregnancy again really puts me offGoals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -

Were you very sick or did you just not like it?
I must admit I found it very hard going while I was sick. There seemed to be no end to it and there were other changes to my body as well. It didn't help that we moved in with another couple (and shared for the first time in 8 years) and that I absolutely hate my bathroom with a passion.
Now my flu is going I feel much better though, and am looking forward to feeling the baby kick and seeing my little bump growTotal (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

i have to admit i wasn't actually sick. i had quite a bit of nausea but i wasn't actually sick. i was very tired though.
no real reason i just really disliked being pregnant. i lost a baby before i got pregnant with DD and managed to convince myself it would happen again. it was all in my head. i think it's something that a woman should love for the reasons you mentioned, feeling the baby move, watching your body change. but i just couldn't relax. i'm just a worrier! all for no reason as well. DH says i should be more relaxed next time cos nothing happened with DD. what he doesn't realise is that i remember the labour so this time i'll actually have something real to worry aboutGoals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -

Totally understandable why you were worried if you lost a child before your dd. I am very lucky that nothing happened to me but I was very aware of how common it is and didn't relax until my first scan.
Was your labour bad? I am terrified of the thoughts of labour. Am considering hypnobirthing but I reckon I will buzz for pain relief and the epidural as soon as I get a contraction. I am not good with pain at allTotal (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

i was very adamant that i was not going to have an epidural but 12 hours in i was begging for it!! labour was about 16hours altogether. the birth was worse than the labour though as DD got into distress as she had the cord wrapped around her neck so they had to get her out any way possible (stitches for me, suction cap for Seren) she was born blue and had to be helped to take her first breath. only took seconds for her to breathe but it felt like hours. my mum was there and she said it was like an action replay of how i was born. except in those days they asked my dad to leave when i got into distress! how times change. i would have divorced my hubby if he had left me for even a secondGoals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000

That sounds very stressful and painful too. Did it make much difference when you got the epidural?
