  • Ah, I feel your pain.

On another note, I bought some pease pudding when I was shopping today, in my head I can turn it into a very lazy daal by stiring it into some soft fried onions, ginger, chilli and spices. I reckon it has a 50:50 chance

  • Hello, I am here, been busy Ebaying today, so far 64 new listings and 25 relists. Am still going although getting slow now. Hopefully will sell lots of it and get some serious money in (won't hold my breath though).

Can someone please tell me how many posts I have to have to get my third star, I thought it was 700 but I'm over that now. Is it 750?

    Thanks

    Morning all!

    TMD - yes, I think it's 750 before 3rd star, you'll get there soon! :)

I listed on ebay yesterday as well and as I'm so slow, couldn't be here as well. I only got 14 listed, but better than nothing, especially as most starting prices are over £10 and no listing fees.

Didn't put my camera gear on yet as got chatting to my flatmate and I think the lenses I have might be worth a bit.

Just added up the contents of the glamour goody bag and they're worth about £100! Not going to get quite that much for them as was sensible with the listing prices, after all, it was all free for me. :D

Listed some of my biking gear as well...It was hard letting go of it, especially as I just talked to someone about biking yesterday, but I won't afford to have a bike for at least couple of years and if I afford to buy a bike, I'll afford to buy new gear. Now money is all important.

    Sorry about the long post.

  • Good morning everyone!

Was in Reading at the weekend for a research trip for when we move. It is very differernt to where we live now. Stayed in the Malmaison which is lovely and we got a good deal.

Need to re-focus on repaying debts now and stop spending money as if OH had been paid from his new job. That isn't likely until the end of October.

    How is everyone?

  • Thanks Tirlitten I'll keep posting. Do you use Turbolister? That is what I use and it's so much quicker than doing it via the Sell your Item pages on Ebay.

Am really shattered today after all that listing, OH is off to work in an hour so when DD3 goes to sleep I'll have a lie down until I have to get DD1 from school.

I downloaded the turbo lister yesterday, but didn't really have time to have a look how it worked so just did it the normal way, which does take for ever... Will need to learn the turbo lister way though not much I can put on the moment. Just fingers crossed my items will all sell. Love free listing days though! :)

    afternoon all.

turbo lister is so much easier. i list stuff when i'm in work or got a spare half hour then i load them at another time depending on when i want them to finish. then there's no rush to list them.

feeling a bit down today. i got a txt from my best mate who's getting married next year about her hen night. basically it'll be a weekend away either easter weekend or the weekend after (which happens to be my birthday). i don't particularly want to miss easter with DD who wil be excited next year but then that means i'll have to be away for my birthday. then i asked her where we were going and she said she had no idea i'd have to ask the other bridesmaid (i asked her weeks ago to keep me informed but she just hasn't bothered. her and the other bridesmaid are making me feel left out) anyway she finally let me know what was going on and it's going to cost £200! that's before getting there, food, there's 2 pub crawls/ clubs. it'll probably cost £300 if not more all together. i haven't got that kind of money. i can't say no cos i'm bridesmaid and how bad would that look? i'm gutted to be honest. i've spent so much time sorting our finances out and this happens.

Hi starnac. Sorry to hear about the hen do making things difficult financially and the other bridesmaid's making you feel left out.:(

Is there anyway you can make up some extra cash before that?

Most of the time I feel like a big party pooper cos I never go out as I don't have money to spend on it. Some people probably think I'm really boring, but so be it. I want rid of this damn debt!!

I've just transfered £26.51 from my 'spare' money to student loan ac, so the extra I want to pay a month is now reached for September. I hope my ebay listings will do well and I get loads and loads of wonga. :)
