Where are you IMD ?! Must be out running  Well, I spent my £34 today and entered!0

I'm here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've been trying to hide in a cupboard away from my children and husband :eek::eek: Nearly three weeks with them is now enough - ENOUGH!!!
Really hoping I can go back to work tomorrow just for a change of scenery, even if it's only for half a day. I'm having to entertain the kids during the day and do all my work at night so quite knackered.
Was doing well money wise but needed some stuff and ended up going to the Butchers and buying nice meat, storage tins etc etc  so spent £25 today but I think it was ok stuff!
Yes Macgirl - you are completely right I have been out running. Did some speed work on the treadmill and I too have parted with £34 today so see you there :j:j Lot of money though isn't it!!

SH, I was never into sport either. Can't throw a ball in a straight line - or catch one! So never got picked for any teams
Then I went and married someone who had been the school sports captain
The only things I can do (just) are individual, as I'm not in the least bit competitive in a sporting sense. I can ski a bit, though haven't been for years. I've always loved watching sports, especially athletics and running events. Then, when I was on maternity leave with my first DD, I watched the Great North Run on TV and thought how much I would love to be able to do it and what an amazing sense of achievement - so on a whim I applied and got a place! At that point I couldn't run more than 100 yds without stopping and hyperventilating!!!
I kept at it, only because I didn't want to make a fool of myself. Each day I ran for slightly longer until I could go around the block without stopping. When I hit that, it felt like a major milestone - it was probably less than half a mile! A friend's husband said to me "If you can run for half an hour, you can run all day", so that was my next aim. Eventually I was up to 8 miles and discovered that I really loved the solitude and mental peace that running gave me.
Then just as I was upping the milage I got pregnant for a second time, so had to abandon the GNRMy midwife said I could still run, but more slowly and not as far. I was really disappointed, but proud that I had become "a runner" :j
Due to work/family time pressures, I don't go regularly now but do need to, so I decided the only way to get back into it, was to enter some races and have goals, then I WILL go out.
I am a plodder though, no way near the level of IMD (I might have to tie her laces together in Manchester)
Running might not be it for you, but how about swimming? It would take the pressure off your knee. Maybe we could start our joint missions next week!0 -

oooooh much too cold to go swimming!!
I am fine and dandy todayFinally got into work and it wasn't as bad as I have been thinking, or maybe I was in a more positive mood
Best of all is that I had a NSD :j:j:j bad side is OH has gone to B&Q to complete his little DIY job  - hopefully he won't spend much but he was very excited about his purchases and even took DD with him.......she wasn't so keen!
I am now sat watching Eastenders, just me and DS cuddling up and thinking what chocolate I deserve. Lost 4lbs in weight this week :j - have really tried hard, cut out alcohol, exercised more and cut back - therefore I deserve chocolate!
Planning my running for Sunday morning and got a 13 miler planner through fields of snow, will try and do something at the gym tomorrow. May have to spend some money tomorrow as we need food so will try Tesco online.
I bought the kids the Mario game for xmas but got it for the DS and not the Wii , can't find my receipt to take it back and they really want the Wii game. I've got a £15 discount voucher for Tesco Direct and have agreed with kids that I'll order them the Wii game and they have volunteered two DS games to put on ebay or amazon to make up the difference so good negotiationAlso got some clothes of DS to put on ebay!
