  • Happy New Year IMD - It seems quite a few of us have been living parallel lives lately! - I ran on Tuesday (Only 3 miles of the treadmill) but the first I have done since September when I hurt my back, I then ran 4.5 miles outdoors yesterday with my son and loved every minute of it - I need to sign up for another half marathon now to keep me on track!
Today is my birthday (and Hubbys tomorrow) so tomorrow we are having a big joint birthday party, but after that its back to my new healthy, frugal regime to start this year (and decade) off to the best possible start.

Macgirl - did you go for that run as promised then...... the toe nail thing sounds really horrible. I've only lost one through running but my feet are mightily unattractive at the moment!

Belated Happy Birthday Miss O - hope you and your OH had good birthdays and treated yourselves. What an expensive time of the year for you then!! Hope you are back to running outside now :)

SH - hope you're having a good start to 2010

I think I may be having my first NSD of 2010 :j Been for a run, about to do the ironing, kids stuff ready for School and house clean. I'm now really glad I took the xmas tree down early as I couldn't be bothered doing it this weekend! Think I might make some nice soup as well so I can take it in to work this week. Was considering trying to go to work with no purse this week to avoid temptation but knowing me I'll probably get caught somewhere and need them!!

Need to continue my 2010 pledge of my body being a temple and my bank balance being healthy, haha no pressure then :rotfl:

I have an abundance of carrots in my fridge, so I imagine I will be making some carrot and lentil soup for lunches this week too

Well done on the NSD as well - I'm on for my second of the month.......but as I am back to work tomorrow, it could well be my last :o I have pledged to do 10 NSDs this month, but then I pledge that amount every single month and only ever manage a couple. Comes under the heading of "must try harder".......mind you, there is an awful lot under that particular heading right now.....:o:o:o

Yum, might even make some carrot and coriander. It's that or onion soup with crusty bread :)

I am carp at NSDs, but then I end up giving kids money for clubs etc and it just all gets ruined. Two in three days though Ms Hypno, you must be proud :D

I am now really really aching from my run, my bottom feels like it is going to fall off :rotfl:According to Mr WeightWatchers I have done the equivalent of 27 points of exercise today so I can have a feast - 4.5 pieces of chocolate cake even!!! Or I could be a good girl and watch the thighs reduce, decisions, decisions.....

Fair shout IMD, with that amount of exercies you deserve a treat!

I only managed 1 point worth of exercie for WW yesterday....not worth it really! However every little helps.

Keep up the good work x

I'd go for the chocolate cake option, personally ;)

Nelmer - for one point, you can have two extra jaffa cakes - how can that be "not worth it really"

Now you can see why me and WW didn't have a long term relationship :o

'Cause I'd prefer a mince pie and ice cream - just the mince pie is 4.5 points!!!!!

Me and WW don't do too bad, it's me and chocolate that don't seem to be compatable!

Well I settled for risotto and chocolate cake for lunch, pasta, mince pie, snack a jacks and chocolate cake for dinner :D:D:D

Am a little cross with Mr IMD. He is doing some DIY in the house which is needed, but not much needed, and has had a little jaunt at B&Q which wasn't cheap :mad: Apparently I should be grateful for him doing things but I would rather he did them for free!

Kids off to bed now, OH out at a friend's house and I'm lying on the settee - pure and utter unadulterated bliss.

Hmm.....its a no win situation with OH - if you say you don't want him to do things like that, nothing (even the things that NEED doing) will get done because he thinks you will have an issue with him doing them/spending the money.......but if you don't say something, then he will continue to spend money when it is not needed!

    I'd stick with the sofa.......
