IMD - firstly I read on another thread, you are on a diet, why??????

Secondly, you are the other fool that banks with A&L, they charged me £25 for being 52p short on a ddm..................I told them they were the worst bank ever and I swear I heard them laugh and giggle!

When I dont need an overdraft I will leave them and blow them a huge raspberry!

I also bank with A+L but they have been a good bank.
I think to be fair they are all as bad as one another for charging when over the overdraft...I don't think there are any that don't charge.

I felt very emotional a few days after the marathon - like it was all just sinking in, the enormity of the challenge etc etc etc.

Excellent news on the insurance, and fingers crossed for the bonus!!

I have an account with First Direct and they are great.............they give you a little leeway with o/d...like a pound or two, without charges.

I can't work out A&L deposit terms, and the other day tried to deposit money to DH's account for first time online and it took 3 days 'for security reasons'

But yes Taxi................they generally are all as bad as each other and when I don't need o/d I wont care:)

That's good that FD give a little leeway..they are meant to be a good bank.

I do admit A+L have some strange things...like they don't do instant transfers between their accounts and the £250 FP limit is a joke...

I to am with a and L. I switched as they were offering £100 but they have had that and then some. They charged me for going overdrawn even thou there was a cheque wait to be cleared which took them eight days to do. I defaulted on dd which they said they would switch, they cancelled the old ones and didn't set up new ones. I am going to move again in the summer when I have more time to track it, they are pants.

  • I'm also with a and l, we are awaiting a call back re charges when money was available or when cheques were clearing the day the direct debit was taken out, ibwas contemplating going back to Halifax but a and l said they don't want to loose customers so they are looking into it for us. It's ridiculous! X

Very tired so quick post from me, watch it end up being really long :o

Have written to complain to A&L, they replied with their standard bank charges letter so I have responded to thank them for said carp non-personalised letter and told them I am looking for another Bank Account where I can instantly transfer money between accounts and that they are not very nice :rotfl: Felt better even if I don't go anywhere.

Not heard from BUPA yet, yet another complaints - am actually sick of complaining to people about bad service but don't ask, don't get!

Think we stayed within budget last week, money in tin today for week so hopefully all will go to plan this week. Stupid amount of letters from School asking for ridiculous amounts of money for school trips, suggested half term clubs, charity blah, blah, blah - don't they realise I am a charity

Did a very long run today, very tired and then busy all afternoon so ready to collapse. Don't think I'm getting enough sleep, need more than 6 hours a night so will try and get to bed earlier tonight.

Not sure whether I have 'fessed up to joining the National Trust, well we did, but it has been worth it. Means we can go to our local National Trust park with the kids and dogs all the time and we've already made the money back, also means we're doing more as a family at the weekend without worrying about how much it costs. Glad we've done it now.

Ok - so not a short post! Find out end of this week how big OH's bonus is, hope it's good as it's all accounted for

Will have to roll upstairs now as my legs are too tired to carry me.

    Ok - long post :o
