I think you are right to "get yourself straight" with any bonus money - otherwise, if you pay it all off the debt, but then immediately struggle to get other necessities paid, you will feel demoralised.
Much better to get straight, then as you say focus 110% from then on, in my humble opinion!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Glad you agree with my approach oh wise one, now just need to hope we get a decent bonus - I hate the waiting and you would think I'd learnt my lesson after all last year it didn't even materialise.
Been good today apart from sweets at the train stationGot back from work and took kids out for a walk in the gorgeous weather - makes such a difference coming home when we can still do things!
Nothing horrendous in the post today which makes a change, even though I know where we are with everything I still dread the postman - very odd.

Now i am nearing the end (relatively, at least) of my debt free journey, I hardly get any letters.......gone are the days of daily letters from the bank with bank charges, or up to their limit credit card statements......
Now, I am lucky if I get a flyer for the local corner shop doing bogof on dog food or something.

I no longer get CC bills as they are all online, but I am in the middle of letters with arguments with people over money - very tiresome!
We got a £1400 water bill tonight :eek::eek: After picking myself up from the floor realised OH had not filled in the water leak claim form from 2 years ago which he promised to do so I will not have to start dragging the river for water after all - I swear he does these things to test me. I have therefore filled the form in myself - far more easier!1st debt - Next [STRIKE]£583.32[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£408.71 [/STRIKE] £0 :j

You've just got to love them haven't you. I did let out a yelp when I saw our monthly payment had gone from £36 to £120 :eek:A quick panicked phone call and I realised it was all OH's fault - normally the way :rotfl:
Hypno - just read your thing about WW pedometer. I do WW just to keep a track on what I eat as the more I exercise I end up eating tons, so makes sense not to bank more than 12 points. Is it 3 points a day max you should bank for exercise?1st debt - Next [STRIKE]£583.32[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£408.71 [/STRIKE] £0 :j
