I know how you`re feeling, Tom.
I turned 30 a few months ago, and suddenly everything in my life seems to have been magnified, so things that didn`t really bother me before, now REALLY bother me!
It seems that every one of my friends is `coupled up`, even blokes who always said they never wanted a girlfriend! Sometimes I feel quite lonely because of it, but I wouldn`t want to be with just anyone for the sake of not being alone, if that makes sense.
Keep your chin up, you look nice in your avatar, can you get it to slow down a bit so we can have a proper look at you!!!
If you ever fancy a cuppa in Northampton, then pop round... ;-)0 -
I'm feeling ancient after reading this Tom  lol.
But seriously, there's 50,000+ members on this site (I think?) and probably a lot of lonely people that don't post and just read. You've all got a captive audience.
Why not go to the the organised meets that spring up here? Because you'll all have something in common if nothing elseAnd it might help the shy people - they can always leave if it's too much can't they?
But why not just have a smaller meet, as in your home town (not necessarily you tom - everyone that's lonely), and just say I'll be in a Yates wine bar at such and such a time on such and such a day? (But be careful not to give out too many details.) It saves a load of planning (unless you're nowhere near a Yatesor live in a huge city).
Just do it!And good luck!
P.S. Stick with the natural colour of your hair too ... as others have said, it adds character to a person0 -
Hey Tom
You're a cracking guy - with one hell of a sense of humour. You were game to come along to one of the weekends away I organised and you were so much fun! Get yourself out doing things - not necessarily looking for that special someone - she'll come along when you're not looking for her maybe :-)
Anyway you coming to the Shropshire weekend I'm organising on May 12th??
I've not heard back from you and would love you to come along again - we had a hoot last time!
If any of the rest of you are wondering - I've organised an outdoor weekend to Shropshire - only requirements are to be age approx 30s/40s, and to be easygong with a sense of humour. I didn't advertise on here this time but you'll soon get the idea if you look at my previous posts - it's a real hoot!
If you want to know more give me a shout - though there's not many places left now, so be quick if you think it sounds a laugh!!
Hope to see you there Tom, let me know if you can make it!! :-)

Does nobody from England ever go anywhere else but England for mse meet-ups..or even north of England so maybe it would make it a little easier for us north of the Border to tag along...Failing that Birmingham Airport:rotfl:on this day 23/05/1430

Basically, British women are only interested if you are a multi-millionaire with rock star looks. They (rightly) demand equal pay with their male colleagues, equal opportunities for education, professional development and promotion, but then demand that any potential love-interest earns more than them! I suggest that you leave them to their complaining, get on some international pen-pal and dating sites, and plan a romantic break in Asia.0

I entered my 30s in the downhill section of a 5-year relationship. Once that was over, I actually started doing what I enjoyed the most and focussed on Number One.
In many ways, it relaxed me and the pleasures of life returned to me.
I was lined up for a blind date with "a friend of a friend" which took so long to materialise that I actually forgot about it.
That was 4 years ago this week. I'll have been married to that blind date 3 years in September.
My recommendation: chill out, be happy with yourself and then, like buses, several will come along at once!
PS: my George Clooney look is coming along nicelyIn the United Kingdom 200,000 people are bitten by dogs every year and some people will die as a result. Of those bitten, 70% are children... So the question has to be asked....... Has the time come to ban children?0 -

women like men who are honest, faithful, nice personality and have a good heart, if they good looking its just an added bonus, so all women shouldnt be tarred with the same brush
It would be like us women saying all men are control freaks who like to dominate women, and when they cant they look in other continets0 -

I'd be up for meeting North of the Border!! I'm in Newcastle upon Tyne and this will be the third meet up I've been to that Treacle has organised! It's a 4.5 hour drive for me to get there but the people I've met so far including Treacle are well worth it!Good wine needs to breathe, if it stops breathing try mouth to mouth.0 -
