I had a call yesterday from Argos who said he would ring back today- never did. He did say that over 350 applicants have applied that he has to ring and get through so might hear at end of week.
One thing that bothers me is he did say that the hours have been cut from 16+ to 8 hours- bit rubbish really

I just received a phone call from the manager asking if i could come in for an interview next Wednesday ,4.30pm at the store.
I take it he means the assessment or can they go straight to interview?

I think some stores do interviews and some do assessments if he said interview then that is what it will be.

does anyone know, if you are one of the 'chosen ones' from the assessment do you still have to have an interview after?

Other posts on this thread seem to suggest that that's the case. I had a group assessment and, when I asked, was told that it was in two parts. However, the morning after, I got a call telling me they wanted me and could I come to an induction on Monday. Also got asked to pop in over the weekend and fill in health and bank details forms, so I'm assuming it IS an induction, and not an interview.

My guess is that it varies from store to store, and in some cases, if they're sure they want you from just the assessment, they won't bother with the interview.

I found out last night that I've also got a Xmas job! YAY! I think I'm starting the week after this one. I was told unofficially (by one of the assistant managers who I know from back in the day!). Hopefully I'll hear officially this week and he wasn't winding me up!

I got my group interview 2moz in Argos in chippenham has anyone got an group interview in chippenham at 2pm 2moz I'm nervous as it my first ever interview so don't know what to expect

I'm from Leyland and just had my assessment firstly we talked to the person next to us and then introduced them to the group, secondly we had to imagine someone living in a 2 bedroom flat had 3 relatives coming to stay with them and we needed to figure out what she would need to accommodate and entertain them on a £500 budget, lastly we were given a list of numbers and had to tick or cross whether they were the same and also order some numbers into numeric order. Will find out mid-week if we were successful.
