Very doubtful - I want to be supportive and I think he'll take it as a personal critiscism. I'm not very tactful either...Paying down the mortgage:

He wants to start it by end of October - which is great, but unless it is going amazingly well, I think between us we can do it on evenings and weekends.Paying down the mortgage:

Ahhh.. doesnt even give you much notice to save or sort out a contingency plan - first few months bound to be a bit rough...... Im sure it will be ok though. Hes probably weighed up the risks?

Why dont you try and stall him and talk about the recession and all that jazz. Say that it would be better to start a business next april may when the new tax year starts and it can be a fresh start for you both, being debt free and starting the business.0

Not a bad day today - found out that my pay rise (which I am expecting) in October will be £500 more than expected! The reason I get a payrise is because I have passed some exams back in July - hooray!
We went out for dinner last night, but a MSE one. We used some tescos vouchers to pay for most of the meal. Delicious and cheap!
Have been trying to start planning xmas properly. Have quite a few presents for OH already, but it is his bday in January as well. May have to wait for sales to get him bday presents, but I prefer to be organised.
Its my mum and dads 50ths this year (november) and my sis bday so this WILL be an expensive month - no getting away from it!
Have nice surprises planned for them both, but it will be expensive. Will have to budget carefully for this.
No idea what to get sister - she will be 29 - any ideas?? she is normally quite easy to buy for - she likes clothes, shoes and pretty things....
Also, its my nieces first birthday in October - am planning to get her a nice toy and take her to a childrens zoo if its not too cold. She loves animals. I think i should be able to do this for around £25 which I think is acceptable for a first birthday, although she will be spoilt rotten by everyone anyway!!
Have drafted my xmas card list - it looks ok, but i'm sure I have forgotten lots of people - anyone know where I can get cheap xmas cards? I think I got them from cards galore last year and they were cheap and nice. I know I have a few left over from last year - i hope no-one remembers what I sent them last year!
Anyway, very long post over. I feel quite positive at the moment about debts. I keep seeing the phrase "proud to be dealing with my debts" and thats how I feel at the moment.
I think the end is finally in sight for us, even though we still have lots of debt.
Oh and I think it is VERY unlikely we will make the 10 month target with OH ambitious plans, but we will see. I will post % achievement at the end of the month.

Will have to pay debts off at a rate of £2,055 per month! I thought we could do it before, but not looking likely at the moment. I hope we do, as if we pay it all off by June, we will have time to save up to go on holiday in September which I would love to do. Will have to work as hard as I can to batter down the debts and maybe we will be able to do this.Paying down the mortgage:
