Just realised that I may reach a milestone this month - £25k paid off since LBM! That would be great if I could achieve that...

  • Thanks!
Feel like I am wishing my life away at the moment, all I can think about is the end of the month and making overpayments and DDs....
To make my first 10% goal I need to pay off another £767 by the end of the month (in addition to the CC payments which are already coming out).
I think we should have £721 spare at the moment based on my budgeting, but we will see.

OH dropped a bit of a bombshell last night - he wants to get his own business up and running - fine, I have every faith he will succeed! but....he has made himself a target for handing in notice at work which is before our DFD target - that makes me worried. I really don't want to rain on his parade, but I would prefer to pay off the debts first so that we are a bit more secure.

  • Hi. Ive been feeling a bit like that lately.. I think I need to start living at the same time as thinking about debts, overpayments, etc etc. Like, I need to learn to live in between paydays and not just wait for the end of the month! Lol.

Maybe a gentle suggestion to OH that he start up the business...but wait just a little bit longer to hand in his notice? Like try to do the two together?

How far before DFD does he want to hand it in?

  • By 31 March 2010 at the latest....
I feel like I have become a lot more relaxed about money etc over the last 6 months - so I must have been awful before!
I think he sees handing in his notice as the big push to making himself work hard for himself. I can understand, but just wish he would not drop such stressful things on me!!
