Same thing happened to me. Didn't notice until statement arrived though, 2 weeks afterwards.
Just out of interest is there anyone that has had this scam that has never used online shopping?
I'm a bit worried about the inference that your address is needed to top up on 02.
been told now when you try to top up by debit/credit card by phone on 02 pay as you go its harder to top up they ask now for issue no. which most cards dont have and you cant top up without it ..
i have always used online shopping and never had a problem until this happened .
only thing different the day before it happened i used my card in a shop itself was in B &Q on one of them chip and pins .0 -

Thats funny i just checked my bank statement tonight and this is exactly
what i see on mine. I phoned the bank to cancel my card and they could see it was taken out last saturday 7.40pm wasn't me i was watching x factor
after doing some googling this seems like a common scam .I say what I like, I like what I say!0 -
I had this a couple of years ago. Contacted the card company, proved I was not an O2 customer and had not done the top ups and was refunded.0

Sickening, these people are making a fortune out of scamming and no one seems to care.0

My DH has had taken out of his account £30 to Vodafone, and 2 lots of tickets with Nat Express and 2 other transactions which we are waiting to find out about (not cleared out of account) Card cancelled but police no longer issue crime numbers as it "happens too often"! Surely someone needs to do something.Target weight:
10 stone (1/1/2010 21 lbs to target)
25 lbs lost 2009
6.5 lbs lost 20100 -
Its a crime
DEMAND a crime number
Im sure the police dont want to issue one as no number=no crime and looks like they are doing a good Job0 -
Well i i had a letter yesterday from bank asking to ring fraud dept
rang them and had to go through more details with them so far back on my account only to be told since the 02 fraud and that purchases have been trying to come out my account
from another CELLNET for £1
SHOEBUY .COM $124.
and a transfer attempt for £500
i just dont understand how these get details i only use paypal -ebay and secure sites when ever purchasing online and when i do that my bank then does the extra security bit before payment online
and have only used chip and pin once..0
