Ours are going out in a few weeks - ours too is on a Friday. I'm just finishing off making the things though so they'll be off when the glue has set!!

We're off to our venue today to reserve the hotel rooms for guests, and check our menu choices are still valid, etc etc!

I still haven't got my dress sorted out, but as it's a bridesmaid dress it's not the end of the world because lead times are shorter for those. Should have it ordered by the end of April, all being well (got to organise another trying-on appointment ASAP!)

I'm feeling pretty organised (and possibly smug?), everything booked, deposits paid etc ... well everything except hair & makeup.

However found out last week that my job is 'at risk' of redundancy, so although I will be panicking about money/paying for wedding if I don't find another job quickly, at least I won't running around still trying to find suppliers for wedding & job hunting all at the same time!

I haven't sent the invites yet, but they are all made waiting to go ..... (not sure what i'm waiting for!)

SDH: nothing wrong with feeling smug! Those as organised as you have the right to do so!

We're back from the venue meeting, I'm still really happy that we picked it. We've reserved all the rooms and got the special rooms sorted... and discussed timings, etc - all is fine and looks to be perfect in terms of what we want.

Must go and ring the last Bridal Shop I visited about the dress I tried on...

I am pretty organised myself also but h2b is the opposite. He has still to sort out suits for him and his 2 best men. Hopefully he will do that in July.

I sent out our invites last week. I know I am early but seen as our wedding is on Friday I thought it would give people a chance to book off work etc.

Has anyone else sent out invites?

Not yet, we want to soon simply because about 1/3 of our guests would need to fly in as they live in Ireland and the US. They're being made at the moment, the lady is just waiting for me to send her the menu choices and the gift list details etc. Going for the second menu tasting this weekend (my favourite part of this process, except maybe cake tasting!). H2B is booking his suits this weekend, and organising a band.

Whoohoo! Finally sorted my dress out :-) It's on order and should arrive in July, giving me a couple of months to lose my final stone, and to organise a dressmaker locally to embellish it with some crystals for me.

That's the big thing off the list; the invitations are coming together and once I've sorted out the prebooked rooms at the hotel, they'll be going out too (probably middle-end of May).

Haven't done any wedding planning in past few weeks (as been job hunting due to be at risk of redundancy!) but i did see the farrier who shoes my horses yesterday who said he would clean up and laquer one of my horses shoes for me:T:T which i'm going to give to my florist and she is going to wind some flowers around it. (going to attach horseshoe to ribbon and hold along with bouquet)

Am soooo excited about horseshoe/flowers as its very 'me'. I just couldn't get inspired about holding some flowers until someone suggested the horseshoe thing.

Love the horseshoe idea, it's nice to get personal touches in that actually mean something to you and make sense, if you get my drift.

My bridesmaid dresses have just arrived so need to get my sister organised for a fitting after her exams. My other sister is off to America for the summer and won't be back until 3 days before the wedding , but the dress shop has been fab and said they can do all the fittings and any alterations in one day. As long as that blasted volcanic ash cloud is away.....should be no problems. Has anyone else already started worrying about flight problems, even though it's 4 months away!! I've already considered researching a plan B for honeymoon travel - bit early maybe.

Invites are in the process of being printed, stuck and addressed and i think will go out 1st week of June.
