Hope you have had a fabuolous day today Dinah.
For me, its my Hen party tomorrow. My sister has organised it. We are having lunch in a local pub, archery(!) and then meal + drinks & a murder mystery at a local restaurant in the evening. Very excited.
Also quite looking forward to seeing my sis as she lives miles away and I haven't seen her for ages. She is stayign with me the whole weekend, so might out break a bottle of cava tonight too :-)=====================================

Just popped back to say - we're done! Dinah I hope your day went well. Ours went so fast I cannot recollect a single thing. We had a casino in the evening and it was the talking point and the one thing on everyone's lips this morning at breakfast.
Those of you coming up - everyone says it, but seriously, chill and take everything slowly, because it really does go so fast and you will regret missing parts of the day if you spend it stressing or panicking. My other advice is not to drink too much!!!
Unfortunately I am unable to post photos (it's a work thing and too long to explain here!) but if I have any which are not showing us I will try and post some.0 -
Had an amazing day, so relaxed, smart, beautiful grounds. It was fantastic.
My legs were shaking so bad at the altar, my dad burst into tears in the church porch, which set me off, and as soon as I looked up my husband was in absolute floods too! We were halfway through the vows before we could keep it together.
I couldn't feel any alcohol I was on so much adrenaline, everyone kept giving me drinks, but I didn't seem to feel anything. The best thing was so many people commented on how friendly our family were, and that it was the most welcoming, fun wedding they'd ever been to.
Sweetie bar went down an absolute treat, lots of cupcakes left though.
DH's mother refused to speak one word to me all day, blanked all my family and friends, and stood with her back to us when everyone threw confetti. Charming woman.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Did your gold leaf wash off in time Dinah?!
Sounds like you had a brilliant day; it was wonderful weather around our way - we were really lucky!
Yay for the sweetie bar being well received; we had loads of cake left (a complete top tier actually!) - I can see us giving away carrot cake for the next week!
What a miserable cow DH's mother is; don't let her get to you. We had one guest who flinched and looked away with a look of disgust on her face when our photographers asked us to kiss during our photos (we're two women) - the woman is OH's aunt and has had 8 years to get used to me 'n the Mrs (we're jokingly calling each other that now!); it really upset OH's mum as she saw it whlist the photos were being taken at the end of the ceremony. We've told my MiL (also loving the in-laws term!) not to think about it or worry about it; there's only one person with a problem and that's the aunt. End of.0
