I'm off to a spa hotel overnight with my 4 best mates on Saturday for treatments and dinner, apparently the restaurant is "no jeans, no mobile phones" so we're going glam - somehow I don't think they'd let me in if I was wearing flashing bunny ears & a pink tutu!! Then next weekend it's my hen night in town with my work mates - that's when I'm more bothered about the bunny ears!!

OH has his suit fitting on 23rd, final meeting with the hotel 2 days before, we just need to pay for the flowers & the cake, pick up my dress and get the table names printed....getting excited now!

    6 weeks tomorrow for me.

Sent invites out ages out. Still waiting on approx half the RVSPs. Getting fed up now. Either you are already busy and will have to decline or you are not busy, and either holding out for a better offer (??) or have assumed we know you will be attending (people about to get married suddendly develop the skill of mind-reading?), grrrrrr!

Dress is arriving today, need to find someone to do the alterations. Ordered centrepieces and natural confetti yesterday. Seeing the bloke we want to sing in two weeks. Around half the day responses back now (all yeses!) - still waiting on all OHs from Ireland - only his mum has responded so far. Had my knee op last week (went badly, worse than he thought, then I reacted to the anesthetic and had to stay in over night, but on the mend now), so now I can think about going out for shoes and undies etc once I'm a bit more mobile, maybe next weekend. Giant games ordered, umbrellas have arrived, just the sweetie bar and memory tree to do on the added extras front, and neither of those can be done till nearer the time. Its hard because we're doing a canny bit ourselves, like the flowers and the cupcakes. Few little bits like a guest book to do but feeling a lot more on top of things.

SIL to be and daughter getting married in true MSE style on September 18th - 7 weeks to go and she smashes her foot in 4 places, so we know how you feel. At least you can wear your pretty shoes? Her foot is fairly swollen,,,, but hoping to ditch the crutches by then! OMG, talk about bad timing! Still madly saving the pennies and Nectar points to swap for desserts.

Yikes that really is bad luck. I'm still on one crutch 6 weeks after surgery, but determined to do without it on the day - although think I'll need to take it on honeymoon. Had my hen weekend this weekend - 9 of us in York and my MOH had booked us a cocktail making class and a meal then drinks on Saturday, then we went to a thai spa today - fantastic time with everyone, they all got on so well, and I escaped without an L plate in sight!

    One week today!

Still need to do the table plan for the venue, finish sewing my veil, make top table decorations, make 150 cupcakes, do the cupcake menu, do all the bridesmaids presents and the grooms, decorate the fruit cake, pay pretty much everyone, send the playlist to the venue, make the bridesmaids bouquets.... you know what, there is more, but I think thats enough to be thinking of right now!

Good grief Dinah! You're going to have a busy week.

Well, it's not long to go.. we are just about sorted and if there's anything outstanding it'll have to be outstanding now. I'm just counting down to Friday and a damn fine party!!!

As of Wednesday, we can all say "we're getting married this month"!!!
