Woohoo! 9 weeks tomorrow for me & OH!!
Have now decided to have a veil, but need to find one by Saturdaywhen I go to the hairdressers, as he's been asking me for weeks what I want doing to my hair!
First dance sorted, just working on inceidental music for guest-gathering, and sigining the register. Also trying to decide on who's giving the reading & who's saying Grace before we eat.
How are everyone else's plans trundling on?0 -
Arrrggghhhh, 9 weeks tomorrow!
OH's dress has arrived, she's off for a fitting at the end of July. My dress should be in by then I hope.
Hair and makeup trial booked.
Readings sorted.
Meeting with registrar next week to determine vows and readings and run through the order of the day.
Most music (sorry, muzak) pulled together for register / eating
still to do:
Await delivery of my dress and fitting
Meet with DJ
Meet up at venue with photographer
Buy my accessories (inc shoes!!!)
Pay off all those who need to be paid beforehand
Trial the centrepieces...
Think that's it!0 -
September 17th, nothing is even remotely ready!!!0

Exactly how I feel! It's as if people still think it's a year away!0

Dress is arriving today, need to find someone to do the alterations. Ordered centrepieces and natural confetti yesterday. Seeing the bloke we want to sing in two weeks. Around half the day responses back now (all yeses!) - still waiting on all OHs from Ireland - only his mum has responded so far. Had my knee op last week (went badly, worse than he thought, then I reacted to the anesthetic and had to stay in over night, but on the mend now), so now I can think about going out for shoes and undies etc once I'm a bit more mobile, maybe next weekend. Giant games ordered, umbrellas have arrived, just the sweetie bar and memory tree to do on the added extras front, and neither of those can be done till nearer the time. Its hard because we're doing a canny bit ourselves, like the flowers and the cupcakes. Few little bits like a guest book to do but feeling a lot more on top of things.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

So, with 4-8 weeks to go, how is everyone doing?Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

3 weeks 5 days, eek. All coming together; meeting at hotel this week with the photographer and also finalising menu choices and paying the hotel for the day. That's it then; no going back!
All attire is ready for the day, table plans have been made up, place cards sorted, everything ready to go on our side.
Had a wobble with my casino for the evening: booked one in Nov (thankfully paid no deposit) - tried to contact them for their public liability insurance; got no response. Emailed, called - nothing. Glad I found out with 5 weeks to go rather than 5 days. Have hastily rearranged and managed to get another one; thankfully - very lucky! (but had to pay a bit more :-()
Just looking forward to the party now... have to organise getting my hair coloured this week though as my hair and makeup lady has suggested that I need something in it to give it life ;-)
Dinah - how's the knee? I did something to mine in June and it's not been right since; I've got a docs appointment coming up to get it checked out because I think I have done some ligament damage; I hope not but given that it's been about 7 weeks since I did it I'm not holding out much hope.. :-(0 -
Hi Guys
You sound very organised! It's 6 weeks yesterday for me... just went for the bridesmaids fittings ysterday as we are having the dresses made. My dress still hasn't come into the bridal shop!! Trying to arrange hair at the moment, seems like so many little things to do!

3 weeks on Friday and we're all sorted, just waiting for last minute bits to arrive0

3 weeks on Friday for us too. My hen do this weekend - complete suprise organised by my mum and bridesmaid - really looking forward to it. Stag do was this weekend, bit of a shambles, people all over the place! Bless him though, my H2B came home at 12.30 (well out new home, don't live there yet) and called me as he was missing me!
Bridesmaids dresses arrived today - first bridesmaid came straight over to try hers on - and she looked like a sack of spuds! Which is hard for a size 8 5"7 beauty. She took it straight to the dress maker - turns out they put a size 4 lining in a size 8 dress which made it pull funny. So the lining has been removed and the dress maker is making a new one.
The knee op was 6 weeks ago now, I can almost climb stairs in a normal way, albeit a bit wobbly. Still a long way from running or anything, but I'm walking without crutches, and I'm pushing hard on the physio, so very hopeful I'll get through the day, even if I have to take a few painkillers.
I'm lucky in a way that my 'vice', the thing I do to calm down is baking - so while I can't remember the last time I got more than 4 hours sleep as I'm unable to fall asleep until silly o'clock, I have had plenty of trials at different cupcake recipies for the tower I'm making as our wedding cake. Very nervous about the big wedding thing, all those people looking at me, but very excited about being Mrs NIM.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008
