i agree if its a motorway, where i can move out of their way, but if i have some stupid idiot sitting an inch from my bumper when im doing the speed limit on a normal road, i slow down to make it a bit safer for me, im not going to pull over otherwise they will continue to do it even more like a stroppy child

yes i get that as well, its my car(1.1 206) and my petrol that id be wasting if i speeded up to accomodate they're egos, im sticking to the speed limit more oftena dn keeping a constant speed,

I drive a big car but I don't think I'm bullying anyone. If I'm behind you then all I'm doing is patiently waiting for you to overtake and then for me to overtake.

Sometimes peoples idead of vehicles, distances and speed are distorted by mirrors and their own lack of perception.

Well mine ain't, I know full well if a vehicle is too close for comfort.

It is usually the driver of the large vehicle that has the incorrect " perception " .... that of their own self importance and ignorant lack of consideration to other road users, I find.

I actually suffer from this but from the other perspective - I drive a big sporty bmw and find that if I stick to the speed limit I have people right up my a$$ in little cars, trying to race?, prove something? I don't know but it does make me laugh. It honestly happens all the time

In the town its the damn taxi drivers that drive right on my bumper.

LOL they could ram you. :rotfl:

    They haven't done yet.

Mind you this is the countryside rather than the big bad city!

Plus once they get that close they can see the Custodian helmet I keep on my parcel shelf. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I drive a 1.0 corsa (what else can I drive at 17?!) and I often get mercs and BMWs coming up behind me when I'm overtaking a lorry or something. If they get very close I just flash my brakes at them, which I admit sometimes just winds them up. I once got into a right argument with a mercedes on the M180 that way.

and slowing down infront of them just shows your has bad has them

    No, it shows 2 things:

    1) I will not be bullied into going faster on a stretch of road than I consider is safe for me, my vehicle and my passengers. You can't drive at the same speeds with your elderly mother in the car than you can with one of your friends or younger family.

    2) It makes them reassess the situation. They haven't succeed in bullying you so they have to either overtake or settle down and drive at legal speeds or find an alternative route!

The sort of people we are talking about here are people who flout speed limits and want others to do the same.

Obviously I don't slow down to dangerous speeds just enough to let them know their evil little plan just failed.

    Simple.
