I hate it when drivers overtake you and stare at you as they drive past! Whats that all about? I had a guy (in a Merc) overtake me today, i was doing the speed limit and he got very close behind me trying to speed me up. In the end he overtook me but stared at me as he was driving past!

Over half the reported incidents on the website relate to aggressive driving, dangerous overtaking or dangerous driving. I think there's a pretty good chance that the Ford drivers are still going to come out on top for those.

You may well be right when you talk about the website you obviously spend a great deal of time on. But in real life...

Let's face it, Ford drivers do not have anywhere near the bad reputation that BMW drivers have. Sorry and all that but they just don't.

Everybody knows a high percentage BMW drivers turn into arrogant selfish...er... people - when they are behind the wheel.

Taking off the limiters would help sort this problem out. As Goldie will know on the M8 around Eurocentral can be carnage with HGV's trying to use that 1mph anomoly to overtake other HGVs.

The other thing to consider is that driving too slowly could be seen as impeding the flow of traffic and the miscreant could be charged with careless driving.

i would say its the most soul destroying section of road in the country.

I have a good friend who drives a big, black BMW (no idea what kind, but its big!). She is the nicest person you could meet, until she gets in her car and she has a personality transplant. She acts like she owns the road, cuts people up and never indicates. Whe i pointed this out to her she had the attitude that she had a big expensive car so people should move out of her way, she has zero consideration for other road users, its absolutly shocking! Then we get out of the car and she is back to her lovely self!!

  • The only problem I have with BMW drivers is that they sit in lane 3 and refuse to move over to let others past.
