Probably because the BMW 3-series is now the standard repmobile?

Actually I find more often it's the BMW 4x4's that are the worst offenders. Probably because their lights are higer so they blind you much more when they are pushing you along.

This thread is like a stuck record and becoming very boring. If it isn't BMW drivers then it is men..........on and on ad nauseum.

It is funny you should say that... on that road rage website the other chap was banging on about. The complaints about male drivers far outnumbered the complaints about female ones.

You will of course have notified your insurers of all of these modifications.;)

Of course I inform them, I wouldn't want to invalidate my insurance now would I? I am not a 17yr old, I can afford the additional premium.

Good for you, I am somewhat surprised that they allowed one of your self confessed " modifications " tho'..;)

You mentioned the website twice in two diffferent posts which suggests an affinity with it. ;)

I'd be more impressed with some stats from ROSPA, the Govt or Plod.

Plus some of the comments all apply to the same vehicle so that makes the statistics flawed for a start.

Nice try but it fell a bit flat. :rotfl:

I also gave you some figures from the RAC and Highways Agency in post 113.

Here's another quote from that article
"The survey found as many as 70% of drivers were guilty of tailgating on some stretches of motorway"

Again - are these all BMWs? Now where's your figures proving otherwise?

Which one?, the additional button wired to the brake light to get shut of tail gaters? as that didnt increase my premium by a penny, bizarrely uprated brakes did.

Tbh I find £400 a year fully comp a bargain, considering it has over 200bhp more than standard. And for all my extras its only £1000 more than it would be without

The only people defending BMWs are those who drive them. :rotfl:

    Speaks volumes. ;)

I actually find that the worst offenders of tailgating and excessive speeding / agressive driving tend not to be the drivers in big German cars but the people driving old rustbuckets of various makes.

I can kind of understand why they are in such a rush as generally the cars are between 10 and 20 years old and in such a sorry state of repair that they may not make it to their destination if they travel too slowly.

(And I drive a Ford Fiesta)

Plus we aren't just discussing motorways. We are talking about selfish behaviour on the ordinary roads.

You can carry on but you won't convince me. Or anyone else who drives regularly.
