    Hi Shelley
That's really interesting. I lodged a complaint with the FSCS last Friday because I'd been told so many conflicting things over the past few weeks and I just don't trust what I'm being told any more. Seems you've been told the same as me - it's gone downstairs, oh no it's still with data gathering so at least they're consistent in some way! I was going to try and resist phoning them until this Friday for 'an update' but I might just give them a call in the morning now! Watch this space.....

    Hi Shelley
I've spoken to Deloittes again and been told the Wilmslow/Freedom cases are still on hold. Reason being is that the paperwork the FSCS received was unclear as to which claims had already been paid out by Wilmslow and which hadn't. Apparently they are hoping to have this resolved in the next 2 weeks. Might be worth ringing to see if you get told the same thing since they haven't previously told you your claim is on hold.... Might have been nice if perhaps they'd bothered contacting everyone to let them know but that seems too much to ask!

    Hi Buns Mum

Doh!! On hold exactly the same as you have been advised!:mad:

He told me that ours was in the late stages and as soon as FSCS lift the hold that we should get a response pretty quickly. I asked what were the chances of hearing before Christmas but he couldn't be certain said if it was lifted within the next week we should hear before Christmas. Lets keep our fingers crossed. :o

    Hi All !

I rung the FSCS today for an update and was told i was still waiting review and no decision had been made , i told the guy i had been told that my case had been upheld during this week but he was adament it hadnt ! I rung back half hour later and spoke to a different person who confirmed my case had been upheld and was awaiting calculation ............. I wonder if they just say anything over the phone just like robots and never bother to actually check for you during the call ????????
  • Hello all , still not heard from FSCS ........... beginning to think bad vibes :(

Just asked FSCS for an update regarding Freedom Finance claims and have been told they are still on hold:(
  • i emailed and was told that freedom finance has responded to them but that freedom claims are now on hold awaiting guidance from fcsc on how to proceed. does this mean we could still get a rejection or would i have been told that by now?

When we were told that the claims were on hold we were also told that they were awaiting guidance from the fscs, not that they'd received a response but were still waiting for guidance. Wish they'd make their minds up!

I was putting off calling them this week for an update but it seems like the guy who told me a few weeks ago to call back in the new year was right :( Looking forward to an 'alternative' Christmas with no pressies to open......
  • Hi All

Finally registered , Just wanted to say I only sent my forms to Deloitte yesterday to claim for PPI and got a phone call this morning in which they asked me a couple of questions and then said they were passing my file over to the next section who would contact the relevant parties for further information.

All good I hope and certainly no rejection as of yet. My loan was £46,000 with £11,000 PPI so I am hoping for a bumper payout.
