  • Hi. I called FSCS and they asked for my details, when I took out the loan etc. I got a form sent through within a week, which was straight forward. The only paperwork I had was the original agreement, I photocopied this and sent it off. About 2 weeks later I got a letter from Delotti who said they were acting on my behalf, they called me about 2 weeks after just to clarify some details. They also sent an email asking the same, I think this was because I missed a call from them originally. Then 2 days ago an A4 letter came through stating that they agree with my claim etc and there was cheque for £6100. I really cannot believe this, I never expected it at all. Do not get anyone to act your behalf, there is no need. The FSCS pay 100% upto £2000 and then 90% after. My payment was for £6300 and I got £6100 back.

    Hi

Well its certainly not a rejection and in my opinion they would have done this by now if they think you didn't have a case, so basically the ball is rolling, good luck.;)

    Hi there

In my opinion you should not be waiting too long now, it sounds like it moving forward in order for the calculations, then the FSCS will check and arrange for the cheque to be sent to you.

Give them another ring next week, and hopefully they may confirm a cheque is sent or being dealt with, fingers crossed.;)

  • Sorry, it was Picture Financial
  • I sent my form off end Sept/ beg October. I got a cheque on 1st December. I never called them about the claim, as I thought I had no hope. They called me to ask a couple of details and emailed me.

Best of luck to everyone :o)

Dont suppose you know at what stage your case was passed back to FSCS from Deloittes for review ??

    Thanks Di.

Phone call has been made and today I've been told that all Wilmslow cases are on hold because some claims were paid before they were passed to the FSCS but they don't know which ones! The FSCS are apparently now waiting for this information. Sounds complete rubbish to me. Anyway, I've sent off a complaint regardless simply because they've been so incompetent to date. Totally unacceptable to keep giving out such conflicting information they way they have to date. In the meantime I just keep twiddling my thumbs and wondering what the real story is.....

    Hi Buns Mum

Just wondering if you have heard any more from Deloittes or FSCS as I am also waiting for their responses. Similar time scale I sent my documents on the 3 Nov, completed a telephone conference with First Plus whilst Deloittes listened in for the outstanding answers on the 30 Nov and was then told it was going downstairs. I phoned FSCS on Tuesday for an update and they told me it was still with the data gatherers but nothing was said about it being on hold (Freedom Finance/Wilmslow were the brokers). Its all so confusing and very frustrating!!

    Hi Shelley
That's really interesting. I lodged a complaint with the FSCS last Friday because I'd been told so many conflicting things over the past few weeks and I just don't trust what I'm being told any more. Seems you've been told the same as me - it's gone downstairs, oh no it's still with data gathering so at least they're consistent in some way! I was going to try and resist phoning them until this Friday for 'an update' but I might just give them a call in the morning now! Watch this space.....
