Hi all !!
I rung the FSCS today about my claim to see how it is progressing but all i got told is they aim to complete all claims wihtin 6 months and that mine was with awaiting review after receiving details from deloittes .......... Not very encouraging as to receiving any good news in the near future or maybe its just standard practice saying could take 6 months ???
Hi
This is standard procedure, they do say 6 months, but it does not mean it will take that long.
Hope you hear good news sooner rather than later, fingers crossed.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Wonderful!:T:j
Well done and Congratulations!:beer:The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Now having done so I am still none the wiser as the person I spoke to said she had sent it "downstairs" and I would hear via letter in the next few days but she would not (or could not) tell me if it was a successful claim. She did wish me luck tho!!
The suspense is a killer - my PPI is for over £11,000 plus interest over £7,000 and it finishes in January as it will be 5 years. I have had 2 lots of NCB so I know I wont get much back but I am very curious as to what is happening.
Oh well back to waiting.
Hi
That's fine, do not worry, and what I would now is contact the FSCS and see if anything has come back to them, as these are the ones who arrange the payments.
Good luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Wow! It sounds like there have been some amazing results over the weekend; well done everyone
Not to bring the mood down too much but are Deloittes normally so disorganised? The reason I ask is that I keep being told different things about my case. On the 28th Oct I spoke to someone (who I assume is the case worker) who told me she has passed it downstairs to the calculations team. Since then I've spoken to various other people. On 11th Nov I was told it was with 'data gathering' and on hold. On 18th Nov I was told it was still with the calculations team & they had only received 14 days previously. Today I'm told it's still with data gathering and on hold! So which is it??? I'm just so frustrated at getting nowhere yet again and haven't got a clue what to do next.
Hi
Have you heard anything since?
Just wondered, and I would keep on at them a few times a week if you have to, it's not guaranteed that you will speak to the same person, but you may get more sense from another member of staff, good luck.:)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
After successfully claiming back my ppi from lloyds I thought I would have a rummage through my partners peperwork. He had a loan with picture in 2005 which only ran for a couple of years and was paid off in full I have requested the forms from the FSCS which arived at the weekend but look a little daunting to fill in!! I have the original agreement and a booklet which states who provides all the different aspects of the insurance is this all the evidence I need. I have no details of the early settlement figures do I need to contact picture for any additional info?
Many thanks
Hi there
You can enclose the lender's paperwork if no paperwork from the broker, as they will use that as well, just send copies though and complete the form to the best of your knowledge, good luck. The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

and he advised me to sent lloyds a formal letter of complaint to include a special worded paragraph at the time i just scribbled it down and now i cant make head or tail of it lol can anyone help pse lol thanks
Hi there
Sorry if I mis read.
So the FSCS are dealing with your Lloyds case are they?
I would give them a ring and ask for a clearer explanation to be honest, as it does seem confusing, please let us know how you get on, good luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Hi Di
The whole thing seems a bit of a mess to be honest. I've since spoken to the FSCS and the guy thought the only problem could be that there is an issue as to whether the original Freedom Finance were still trading and there may be some money to be had from them instead. I then spoke to someone at Deloittes who said the original person who told me the claim had gone downstairs to calculations was wrong and that after her it then went for further investigations before anything goes to calculations. He was going to track this second person down and get back to me 'shortly'. That was on Tuesday and I haven't heard back yet. Don't know whether to chase again today or leave until after the weekend...
What gets me is that in the nearly 12 weeks since they've had the claim I've only received one bit of corresonpdance and that was just to say 'here's your original paperwork back'. There was no intial letter to say they'd received the initial forms, a contact name or anything to let me know there's been a delay/hold up. Is this usual cos if so I'm not very impressed!0 -

Hmmm Deloittes all over in my opinion.
I remember when I had a case in with them and it sounds similar, and to many others who was going through it the same time as me over a year ago.
You get one member of staff telling you one thing and another telling you something else, so wrong!
Personally, I would ring them again today, its up to you, but something not right about this, they messed up somewhere by the seems of it! Incompetant comes to mind!!!
Another thing as well, if they keep messing you around like this, you can actually complain about them too, even though its Deloittes, as the FSCS use them as a sideline there is a link where I assume you can give your opinions about not being happy on the way your case is being dealt with.

We found that we had to ring several times a week, a right pain in the you know what! but we did get there eventually.
Let me know how you get on, cheers honey xThe one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Thanks Di.
Phone call has been made and today I've been told that all Wilmslow cases are on hold because some claims were paid before they were passed to the FSCS but they don't know which ones! The FSCS are apparently now waiting for this information. Sounds complete rubbish to me. Anyway, I've sent off a complaint regardless simply because they've been so incompetent to date. Totally unacceptable to keep giving out such conflicting information they way they have to date. In the meantime I just keep twiddling my thumbs and wondering what the real story is.....0 -
