Just put the phone down on do littles and they are awaiting some more info from p#####e which they have promised to send them on the 8th of February so they are hoping that things should be resolved in about a month.
I did explain that I have not heard if my contract would be renewed as it finishes march 6th and I will be in financial hardship come march 7th (if they are going to renew they usually give me 4 weeks notice and this time they haven't so things are not looking good here).
I then asked if there was anyway they could tell me if :
    a. It was going too be upheld
    b. Could they quicken things up

and the answer was no to both, I really don't wish to know of the sums involved but a yes or no answer would help greatly as I would be able to pay off some debts or declare myself bankrupt I really am at the end of a rope here and beginning to lose all hope all I want is a straight answer iss that too much to ask for I hate picture they have ruined so many peoples lives I really feel like driving there burning sodding picture house to the ground they are nothing but a bunch of loan sharks I really have no idea what I'm going to tell my wife I can't tell her things are going to be ok as I no longer believe this or can tell her this she spent the money she got for her birthday on a weeks shopping so we could eat
sorry but I had to get this off my chest I shall have to do my best to avoid her today as she can tell if I'm lying and I really can't do that today

Hi bodkins, I am so sorry you are still waiting and I know whatever I say will not make you feel any better, but please try to hang on in there, I am sure you will win and hopefully it will be within the month. I know you are really down, and know exactly how you feel.
Ring them again on the 8th and hopefully they will have some good news for you.
I know this is all so easy for me to say "hang on on there", but I am hoping and praying that it will be settled soon for you.
My son in law was in a ball on the floor when all tbis happened to them and my daughter could not sotp crying. I really did fear for their health. They have two little ones, which made the worry so much worse.

PLEASE, TRY TO STAY STRONG, THE LIGHT IS GETTING BRIGHTER AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL,ALTHOUGH IT MAY NOT SEEM LIKE THAT AT THE MOMENT.

FEEL FREE TO RANT AND RAVE AS MUCH AS YOU LIKE. IT IS BETTER THAN BOTTLING IT ALL UP INSIDE.

REMEMBER, WE ARE ALL HERE FOR YOU.

Just spoken with picture (thought I would try for a bit of compassion) all requested info will be sent on February 8th, apparantly fscs have moved the goal posts (his words not mine) and are now asking for additional info that they do not have to hand, they had put a process in place to deal with these as soon as info requested buy now they want something else, this is why mine and a few other peoples are being delayed. Do littles have said I should hopefully hear in a month things are getting very tight here and just to top of a bad day my wife has just been told that her recruitment and retention payments are being stopped say goodbye to £135 per month that's just bloody great (anybody got a spare couple of rooms for 2 adults 1 child and 2 dogs ?)
Hi bodkins just hang on in there hopefully we will here very soon i know how you feel im in the same boat getting told one thing then another if the worse comes to the worst we will all move in together were 2 adults 1 child and 1 dog just keep ur chin up :D and rant and rave all you like we dont care better out than in :)
  • Found out last night that they are not keeping me on Sunday is my last day at work. They better hurry up some holiday pay due so that will give us another 2 weeks, emailed fscs yesterday after speaking with them on the phone and explained the situation to them, lady I spoke to was really nice but couldn't really help she suggested I let them know the situation and they may be able to priortise my claim but couldn't let me know if it would even be upheld as she does not make that decision. Does anybody have any idea that if they have where going to reject it that would do it straight away or am I just clinging to hope here that they would?
Anyhow she did wish me all the best and told me to keep strong and keep my chin up, just thought that was really nice of her.
Plan for Saturday troll around retail parks and see if I can grab some work, next have some but don't really think that a 40 year receeding bloke is the type of person they would be after but you never know (oh and I can't wear any of their sodding fitted shirts do they not realize that middle aged men are not designed with 6 packs)

I think you would have been told by now if they were not going to uphold your claim.
Your reasons are the same as the rest of us, therefore there is no reason why you will not win.
    good luck

  • Morning all took advice and contacted the fscs by email and today received the following back :

Thank you for your!email of 2 February 2010 about your claim for compensation against!Picture Financial.
    !
I have noted the contents of your letter, and have considered your request for prioritisation. However, to be fair to all investors we must deal with claims in chronological order from the date of our completed Application Form. We can only give specific priority to a case if an investor is suffering from extreme ill health or severe financial hardship. As this does not appear to be the case in this instance, I regret that we cannot prioritise your claim.
    !
Unfortunately, I am unable to give you a precise timescale for the resolution of your claim,!however, please be assured that we are processing your claim as quickly as possible. We endeavour to complete all claims within 6 months of!default declaration, and we will write to you once we have completed our review.!

So I'm not under any financial hardship which I suppose due to the fact I will receive a wage packet and some holiday pay for the next fortnight is true. I only hope they stick to their side of the deal and sort it out within the 6 months time scale. I know picture went into default in august (I think) anyone any idea when the 6 months is up? And what happens if it's not dealt with in these 6 months?
In a happier and better mood today as I said to the wife no point in worrying what could happen let's wait and see what does the worst they can do is take the house we can still start again it's not easy but I'm sure plenty of other people have done this in the past and rebuilt themselves b######s to them all. Good luck everyone else waiting hopefully someone will hear something soon.

Hi bodkins 14 they went into default in july the 6 months was up on the 8th of january so as for them sorting it out within 6 months thats a croc of s**T and when i questioned it there answer is thats only a rough guide they have to wait for info off third parties (ie picture ) so they cant do anything without the info so sorry to be the bearer of bad news but dont rely on the 6 month rule :o
  • Hi everyone,

I've been lurking around for a while & thought it was time I registered & added my name to the long list of people who were duped by Picture.

Our claim is (eventually) with FSCS & Delloittes, after being strung along by Blue Sky Claims. I wish I'd never heard of them & Picture.

Anyway, the claims are in & have been since the middle of December 09. Every day that passes I'm waiting for an email or a letter, but so far nothing. I know I'm being over anxious & probably wont hear anything for months, but when you're desperate, like we are, every day feels like a month.

Anyway, just wanted to say hi & indroduce myself after lurking for so long :)
