Still can't believe your 13k di!

Now this is scarey after reading posts yesterday. Popped home today, Firts Plus letter. Opened with trepidation.
    Goallllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Full account redress plus interest, lower monthly payments and refund due on monthly premiumsd paid - about £2500 due. Rang them up to check, the only flip side I will have to wait 3 -4 weeks. Never mind, can now look forward to xmas and fingers crossed others will follow this week or soon.

I did request that both Tesco and mint refund me by cheque, but we will see especially as I have requested the CCA from them.

Will post more later - should be working now!!!
:j[any information on this cca form appreciated my loans are with the fos, they say waiting for the cca forms from lloyds please post any information on why they might need this, big thanks sharon666]

FOS may need the Consumer Credit Agreements for clarification of the PPI and tick boxes etc. ;)

Its because of rule of 78 used in Charliesmacs settlement and it should not have been. The agreement was over 25K so unregulated and charliemac settled in 2007 (which was after it was abolished for unregulated loans) so it should not have been used at all. I have just done some working it out using the rule of 78 calculator and charliemac actually paid MORE than that even. Seems like there were also fees added for early settlement?????So wrong and very unfair. I had it used in my agreement.[hi there could i ask you about rule 78, if you don't mint posting the basics, sharon666, many thanks, to me its you can't borrow over £25,000, is that with interest or after interest, very interested in this rule 78, big thanks]
Rule 78 was a method of calculating a rebate against the interest you owe when a loan is settled and its now abolished as it was only fair to the lender and not the consumers. It gives lenders large windfalls and even though it can still be used on older loans, it should not have been used in loans over £25K (unregulated by the CCA).

It says here from the independent paper in May 2005

The reform will apply immediately for new borrowers. Existing ones who have loans for terms of 10 years or less, and want to settle early, will not benefit until 2007. Those with loans for longer than 10 years will not be covered until 2010.

  • :naughty: Hi all
This is my first time posting but have been reading the thread for a while now. I stupidly took out a loan with picture in October 2005 and after a while realised what a huge mistake I made. I went through the usual of writing letters being told no they had done nothing wrong and the rest of it. I gave up but thanks to you guys now have justed posted the claim form to Deloittes so will keep my fingers crossed.
I had not realised until I read a previous post that although life cover was joint nothing else was, its a good job me and my wife did not die in an accident or my son would have been homeless. My loan was for £54 K and I stll owe these pirates nearly £80K its so so scarey.
My claim is in I have 3 jobs to keep the roof over our head, have suffered depression and thought about giving it all up but now I have something to keep me going. I'm really happy for all the people who beat these legal loan sharks and hope and pray I can get one back.
Just out of interest the person who sold me the PPP was called Tim O'Loughlin just wondered if any other people dealt with him.
Thanks again guys for giving me a little hope.
