:idea:Would be interesting to see if all of us waiting have remortgaged - That is me, Busbyh and Di as far as I now? Anyone else?
my husband and myself have had to remortgage to pay picture off .we had to sell our last house to pay them off and then had to take equity out of the house that we now live in £47,000 altogether nearly £10,000 ppi.Just got an email from Deloitte today that they have all the info they need and our claim is with a case handler to be assessed and then to be forwarded back to fscs ,just wondering if the end is in sight.Had to get some figures from our mortgage lender for the interest rate and other things.they have everything now though now it will just be a waiting game i suppose.

    Hello and welcome.
Hope they resolve this one for you soon.;)

Now your at this stage and just as long as they have everything they require, then you should not be waiting too long, fingers crossed.

Please feel free to join in on here and keep us all updated on this, that would be cool.

  • once the case is with a claim handler to be asessed they said it would be handed back to the fscs for those to make a final decision ,does that sound good if that is what they have told us.
  • they also said that the claim handler was sorting it out this week.

Hopefully this will be good news then, keeping my fingers crossed for you.
Normally the FSCS check over and review what deloittes have done and if all correct they should then prepare to send you out the letter with a cheque payment.;)

How long have yours been with the FSCS from the start hun?

    Hi all!

Very quiet indeed on here - no news for me:confused:

Honest bob I have not read of anyone who had remortgaged etc to pay off picture who has been paid out!! I am in that position so hope it is not a bad sign:huh:

Hi pengi, I think it is because they need info grom new lender. I know for sure this is what's holding ours up.

We had to call into Nationwide yesterday to verify signatures before they would relaease any info to Deloitte

  • hi everybody,we have had our claim in since may/june of this year,we didnt realise at the time that we had to wait for picture to go into default, when we paid them off by the time we paid it back the amount of ppi we got rebated was worthless because they had put that much interest on top we didnt  notice we paid anything off.
