I am sorry guys but I am on a mission now so I have to post this if we all were told by Picture at the point of sale the truth with regards to the insurance, how many of us would have taken the loan in the first place, I for one would not, so I think this is a very valid reason for mis sale it infuriates me that they can get away with this we were all very vulnerable at point of sale and this is just plainly taking advantage, that is the polite version:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:what do you all think?

Hi all just got in so not had chance to catch up but as Alyson has posted about the loan itself I have to say that if we had known the PPI itself was not sufficient to our needs we would not have taken the laon in the first place also we did not have a proper valuation done, ie drive by or computer one, sorry dont know what they call it, I think we have a strong case and intend to do everything in my power to fight mis selling of the loan.

Hi dialysis, bet you have had a nice day;) once I get my head straight, I will speak to my daughter with regards to the loan. Your are right what you say about valuation etc. I just don't know where they would stand with regard to a missell on this. know there have been cases that have been won with regards to loans:confused:

Saying all this, at the very beginning I didn't really think there was a chance on the PPI missell, until I began to look into it thouroughly, so who knows!!!!

hi dialysis, I hear what you are saying, and yes I agree, and you are so right about being vunerable. I also feel the T.V advert has a lot to answer for, it being banned speaks for itself, to make it so easyto take a secured loan and put your home at risk!!!!!
    - Look  you've got me on a mission already:D:D:D

    EDIT.
If I remember correctly, FSCS said something to HOney 2 about Picture. Said is she needed any more help or words to that effect to let them know. I will check through honey's posts. Think it was the very first one, when you won the claim.

Hi hun I know it is early days yet but I cant get over the fact that we were not given the correct information at pinot of sale. If this information had been correct what would we have done? I know what I would have done tole them to shove it!!!! I am sure if we had been told only one is covered for everything, age restrictions etc we wold have all told them where to go, I think that is the route, also valuations

    Hi All

Thanks for the advice. They requested the info a fortnight ago - may give C & G a ring and ask them to send to me how much was paid to picture so that can speed things up.
Just to put a dampner on the postal situation i sent some original docs to Deloittes as evidence three weeks ago, they said they returned them on the 2nd Oct and we still have not recieved them!!!

pengi, you need statements showing what interest has been paid since you took out the new laon to pay picture

If you are wanting to know if you can take a complaint to the FSCS about the loan itself then this would come under a "consumer credit complaint" and FOS did not have jurisdiction over these matters for companies such as Picture (that were only under the FSA since Jan 2005) until April 2007 and only for loans taken out since April 2007.

Our remit over businesses with a standard consumer credit licence only covers complaints about things that happened after 5 April 2007. Quite a large proportion of the enquiries we received at first concerned events that took place before that date, so they were not matters that we could help with. That is less of a problem now, and we expect numbers to build steadily as we go forward.

I don't know if the FSCS do the same? Maybe best to ask if they can accept these type complaints???
