That is good news busbyh but I still dont understand who makes the final decision the fscs or deloitte. we have been told different things so did your man say the fscs?
Sorry beaniebabe was typng this at the same time I think your right hun makes sense.

I think it will just be a case of an eyeball check with the FSCS. If for example they saw a claim that was say, stupidly over calculated, it would have to be rechecked

    Does that make sense:confused:

So do claims that are unsuccessful still go to the FSCS? To check they are unsuccessful? Or is Mr Nice man right and Deloitte let you know the bad news?

This is really interesting, thanks for posting this up hun.;)

I know mine is not with Picture but with Twopart, but it was earlier this week that deloittes requested for our info on the new lender is settled or so.;)
Again thank you and looking good for all then so far.....:T

Hopefully di, and it does look as though you are in the same position as us.
He also asked about the length of time some people have been waiting. the case workers response to this was , "although we may have had a claim for a long time, nothing can be done with it until the company involved is actually declared in default"

He was basically saying, it is filed away until this time.

well I think I read that deloitte would let you know the bad news and all successful claims went to the fscs but my head is buzzing with all this and I might not have read it but dreamt it, I have a habit of dreaming about deloitte and the fscs nowadays, how sad is that:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I did also post this email up from the FSCS the other day as well, but it seems to the case that Deloittes do pass back to the FSCS at the final stage, going by the email I received here:

    FSCS Ref: TWOPA00001
(Please quote this reference when contacting us)
    Dear Mrs

I have checked the claim details and confirm that Deloittes as still actively working on our behalf, to process you claim. The final decision is authorised and issued by the FSCS once the work has been completed.

Please let me know if I can help further, although until the review has been completed I may be limited on definitive information I can give out to you.

Even though the FSCS confirmed that TWOPART were declared in default on the 8th September, its not yet listed, but then I suppose it depends on how often they update the website.;)

This was the email received on the 24 Sept from Deloittes

    Dear

Please can you advise if the second Nemo loan, that you took out directly with Nemo in July 2006, is still running? If not, please advise how it came to be paid off, did you redeem it from your own resources or via another loan from a new lender? If you took a loan from a new lender, please provide the contact details, including any loan reference number, for this new lender as we will need to contact them for information to help with our assessment of your claim.

I look forward to hearing from you in due course and would like to thank you for your assistance in this matter.

    Deloitte LLP
    Direct: +44 (0) 20 7007 9927
    Main: +44 (0) 20 7936 3000

That was more or less worded the same as ours di.and he did say if they requested this info it is a strong case. I don't think he was in a position to reveal anything else:beer:
